Before you is the first edition from the International Teabagcollectors Club.

This T Collectors Magazine will be from and before teabagcollectors from

all around the world. In this magazine we can read about new teabags, differences among the teabags, reports of the teabag exchange meetings,
recipes with tea, company information, catalogs and so on. And ofcourse a
lot of pictures from teabags .
I hope that all of you like this and that there will be come a lot of editions
from our magazine.
If you know teabagcollectors tell them about this magazine and when they are interesting
in it they can also be a member of the InternationalTeabagcollectors Club.

NETHERLANDS:
The new Super-Konmar teabags with the new logo are: tropical thee,bosvruchten thee, citroen thee, aardbei thee, mango thee, meloen thee, engelse melange, ceylon, earl grey,
rooibos, kaneel thee, winter melange venkel en sterrenmunt.

Albert Heijn had also a new logo. Till now there are only 2 tastes with
the new logo.

GERMANY:
Also in Germany are a lot of new teabags. A totaly new brand is Christies The 4 tastes
from this brand are: sweet dreams, good morning, beautifu day and relaxing evening. This
teabags have under the flap an number and they are with and without white beam under
the flap.

The new teabags from Lord Nelson are: the Waldbeere, Erdbeer Rhabarber , Himbeer Vanille and
Kirsch Yoghurt . All of them have a number under the flap.

Lancaster have also 4 new teabags. The Darjeeling, Fruit Garden Lime flavoured fruit tea with Vitamin C, Fruit Garden with Raspberry and Blackberry flavour, Fruit Garden with Cherry and Blackcurrant flavour.
This bags are all with number under the flap.

Sanovit is there with 4 new tastes: Magenmild, Muntermacher, Schlaf gut en Stressfrei. White
envelops with green picture without a number

At least Knights Bridge. The fresh Feeling bags are in 3 tastesnamely Exotic Spice, LemongrasErdbeer en Krutertee Zitrone. Respectively an orange, green en yellow teabag. All with number
under the flap. By the green and yellow one there are also teabags with white beam
under the flap. The number is standing in the white beam.

New Czech. Teabags are from Velta tea. This Czech company had a lot of different kinds of teabags
but only those 10 in envelop.

Switserland
The new teabags from Co-op Switserland are from the Alpen Bio serie the follow
tastes: Zitronenmelisse und Zitronenkraut, Malven und Zitronenthymian, Pfefferminze
und Alpenkruter, Alpenkruter mit Kamille and the Brennnessel.
Also new are the Leber-galle-Tee , Hustentee, Rooibos Energy Plus.
From the fruit serie are new: Apfel, Erdbeer-Rabarber-Vanille, Kirsche, Pfirsich and
Waldbeere.

From Champion are two nice new teabags the pche-cassis and the menthe-reglisse

Kneipp Switserland had also new teabags. This are the same teabags as the German
one, but they have an other log by the vup and saucer.

My Story about teabag-collecting.

My name is Michaela Jerabkova, I am 30 years old and I am from Prague. Before
11 years, I started collecting teabags. Nevertheless, my first teabags were a gift
from my schoolmate in basic school; they were four teabags of Ridgways
trademark. I liked them very much so I kept them.

Actually, it was not a collection at all. At that time, I was collecting almost everything,
pictures, postcards etc... I hadnt planned it but after a few years, I started to collect tea
boxes and teabags. When I moved to my husband, I threw my tea boxes away and kept only
the teabags. What a pity! I had really beautiful and rare boxes in my collection.
I should remark that all members of my family are crazy collectors: my sister collects lids
of coffee creamers; my parents collect packaged sugarbags (they have almost 23000 pieces in
their collection). By the way, I have (besides teabags collection) a collection of pocket diaries.
My parents travel a lot, and from every journey, they bring some new pieces of sugarbags and
of course new teabags (for example teabags from Nestle Fruchthausen, or Russian teabags)

I increased to and Im still increase my collections thanks to my parents and all my friends.
Today I have approximately 1200 teabags in my collection. In January 2005, my father gave
a collector (her name is Zuzka) my address and after short time, I became the first e-mail of
a person with the same hobby as mine. In this e-mail was standing her www address with an
offer to exchange some teabags. It forced finally to make my own www pages.
First I intended my www pages as an overview of all of my teabags, but then I thought it
would be better if I place there only teabags for exchange. Therefore, I started to work on my
www pages. Together with my husband, we made photographs of the teabags and within 2
weeks my webpagina was standing on the internet, and I was ready to exchange teabags with
other collectors. Two months ago, I got a letter from Mr. Bohus Ziskal (he is owner of one of
the biggest collection of teabags in Czech Republic). He wrote that my father gave him some
teabags and in return he send me some another teabags. Mr. Ziskal sent me an offer to add my

address to the address book of teabags collectors, and so merry-go-round exchange began.
In a short time, I collected about 200 of new teabags.
Thanks to Bohus, Marjoke Rozier contacted me, and now I am exchanging my teabags on
international level. - Now, great meeting of collectors of curiosities is going to take a place
in Prague. I am already very excited about it. In March, I joined a meeting of eight collectors,
but I have never been on great meeting and I am really looking forward to meet new people
with the same hobby. At the end, I wish to all collectors many new pieces in their collections.

Saturday 21 May for 7.45 we left the house to go to the meeting in Steenbergen.
After a good and fast trip we came by "the Moller College in Steenbergen where the meeting
was organised by Con and Gon Slokkers. Coffee and tea were ready, and after drinking one or
other we started with exchanging. This international meeting, because there are also Belgium
teabagcollectors, is one of largest in the Netherlands. Soon, they had the room full with about
50 exchanging people with on the tables lot of boxes with teabags for exchange had been
placed. Ofcourse you could hear the most recent tea news. Because there come always new
teabags in the shops or some teabag brands renew their assortment with a new logo or new
design. And if you have attention before also the smallest differences which sit on
apparently same teabags, such a meeting is the bests place to be. At the end of the meeting
everyone went satisfied to house, knowing that the collection with hundred or more new
teabags was extended.

COLLECTING TEABAGS IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

The Netherlands are a super-power when it comes to teabag-collecting. Every teabag collector
knows this now, but when I started collecting teabags nine years ago, I thought I was the only
person in the world with this hobby. When we got the internet a few years later, I was
surprised to discover how wrong I was and a little envious of the collectors gatherings and
exchanges held in Holland and Belgium.
But now it seems that the Czech Republic is slowly turning into a second haven for this
exciting hobby. Many new collectors have sprouted in this country over the last year, enabling
Mr. Bohus Ziskal, the longest collecting person in the country, to found a teabag-collecting
fraction in the Curiosity Collectors Club. This allows us to attend the Clubs bourses. So
far, around 25 teabag collectors have participated in the two meetings in February and May.
The Clubs bourses are huge events attended by hundreds of people, collecting anything from
matches, napkins, postcards to kinder eggs, etc. So of course some teabag collectors also
meet privately in smaller groups and it is our hope to organize a separate teabag collectors
only gathering sometime this autumn.
On behalf of the Czech teabag collectors I wish everybody a beautiful summer with many
new acquisitions into their collections!
