Statistics
Grades will be determined by comparing the number of points a student has earned with the total points possible for
any given time in the grading period.
(Total points earned Total points possible) 100 = percent grade
Grades are not just limited to the categories listed below.
Grades will mostly be taken from:
Homework will be graded on a daily basis for completion or accuracy at the discretion of the teacher. (Each homework
assignment is worth 5 points.)
Class Assignments These may be graded for completion or accuracy
Projects These will be started in class but finished at home
Quizzes These will be given randomly throughout the school year. They may occur with or without notice.
Tests These will cover a specific unit of study, however, any prior concept is subject to be on any test. Students may stay
after school and correct their mistakes to earn back half their points missed.
Together, quizzes and test compose 60% of your overall grade
*Points may vary on each assignment
**Grading system is subject to change at the beginning of each 9 weeks
Consequences: (Order may change due to severity of the behavior)
Verbal Warning
Parent Contact/Teacher Consequence
Office Write-Up
Math Tutoring:
Students will be able to complete make-up work, perform test corrections, and receive tutoring on Monday Wednesday during lunch or afterschool until 4:00 pm. Tutoring will take place in my room (230) and students will
have access to the calculators and any other necessary resources. This is the ONLY way students will be able to
complete test corrections and attempt any missing work.

Academic standards, chosen by the Tennessee State Board of Education, provide a common set of expectations for what
students should know and be able to do at the end of a specific grade or course. Local school districts determine the order

objectives for Statistics students in the Clarksville Montgomery County School System, please visit the Curriculum

The chart below outlines the units of study for Statistics and possible major assignments or field trips that could be used to
enhance student learning or solidify mastery of standards in each unit. This chart is not inclusive of every assignment for
Statistics, as additional or different assignments may be created based on the needs of students. Specific details for major
assignments will be shared with students and parents or legal guardians as the standards related to the assignments are
