TheUWRT1104journeyhasbeenaninterestingone.IcameinthinkingthatIhad
everythingthereistowritingdown.However,thatfirstBminuswasshotofreality.Ihadto
assumeresponsibilityandgetmyacttogether.WiththehelpofProfessorRaymond,mentors,
andfriendsIwasabletoregainmyconfidenceinmywriting.NowIambeingfacedwithoneof
thebiggestprojectsinUWRTthesemesterlongproject.IwillhavetouseeverythingIhave
learnedwhilemaintainingmycraft.
Thesemesterlongprojectcancomeoffasintimidatingatfirstglance,buttheSandra
Cisnerosreadingshavegraspedmyattentionandmademewanttolearnmoreaboutthetopicmy
partnerandIchose.Thetopicwechoseisgenderdiscriminationparticularlypertainingto
women.Wewanttocutdeepintotherolesofmalesandfemalesthroughoutgenerationsand
understandnotonlywhywomenaretreatedunfairlybutwhytheynevergetthechancetoprove

wecanfindasolutiontoendfemalediscriminationorevenjustastepintherightdirectionwe
couldleaveahugeimpactonthisworld.

anopenedmindinsteadofthestrictorganizationIamusedto.Iwasabletoreceive
