One repeater platform to realize all types: Multi

It supports future bandwidth re-allocation: One
operator may have one sub band initially, and later
on will be allocated a new sub band, by Huaptec
digital repeaters, the new sub band can be added on
by configuring trough software. Or the operator may
have initially 10MHz, but later on expand to have
15MHz, then the repeater can be configured easily to
support 15MHz.

ICS Principle

ICS repeater eliminates interference signal from different path and delay
through ICM module, so that reduce the isolation requirement of the
system.

ICS Advantage
1. Reduce the isolation requirement to 30dB; the donor
antenna and server antenna can be installed in the
same pole, so that reduce the installation cost and
difficulties.

Application 2: Channel Selective Repeater

Channel selective repeater has very clean signals, high Rx calling quality,
no noise floor to nearby BTSs of same operator or other operators

Application 3: Hybrid Repeater

Amplify just one sector of BTS instead of amplifying all signals of all BTSs will significantly decrease the
interference to nearby towers, making a repeater truly transparent to network. Besides the power efficiency
is much increased for larger coverage area

Traditional Repeater

Repeater receives and amplifies all signals from

A, B, C, D,E, F, GBring noises to all cells of A,
B, C, D, E, F, G.

By normal repeaters, signals of all sectors will be amplified

and noises are brought to each sector; besides since G1
and G3 has equal input power, frequent handover will
occur frequently and lead to higher call drop rate

Digital Repeater

Amplify only One Sector G3,

leaving all the other sectors alone
without noises

Huaptec digital repeater selects and amplifies only G3,

therefore there is no noise to other cells; besides only G3
signals are quite strong, therefore there is no frequent
handover. Moreover Huaptec digital repeaters enable to
select those cells with enough capacity

Application 4: Co-existing network and future extension

Co-existing 2G, 3G and LTE in same frequency, and upgrade smoothly
in future from 2G to 3G, or to LTE or future technologies, saving cost

App. 1 Existing network optimization

It will be necessary to modify the current IBS
system if there are below problems
1. The current IBS is not reasonably
designed, and it is hard to optimize
2. The current IBS has been quite old, and
it needs upgrade
3. New systems need to be added to
existing IBS

App. 4 BTS Substitution

1: Substitution of those newly setup or removal stations

Rent has been growing very quickly recently and people dont like station setup anymore, so it is quite difficult to find sites, or
move them, or even if it can, it takes quite long time and high cost to do so, which is a big conflict for network deployments,
improve network quality or solve complaints.
Fiber DAS has quite compact design, suitable for both indoor and outdoor areas and wont need special rooms, thus it is
quite easy to find sites , quite easy and quick to deploy, and no future maintenance

2. Network Optimization of residential districts Residential districts have two problems

1) The districts get many signals from different cells, there are pollution and frequency handover, and high call drop rate
2) Commercial districts ask for more and more capacity than its original design as time goes on
The solution is to use fiber DAS to bring new carriers, added to the existing cells, to these districts. It is quicker, easier and
more cost effective. And for those residential areas where people are sensitive to RF radiation, camouflaged antennas
(road lights, billboards, etc) can be used without peoples notice.

App. 5 Coverage of narrow strip

Coverage of High ways, railways, bridges, valleys and rivers
Multiple series type is quite suitable for these areas and capacity of one sector would be enough as
there are no high traffic demand in these areas, since all signals are coming from one sector, thus
there would be constant coverage without handovers.

2) Automatic time delay adjustment
3) Uplink diversity further increases Uplink anti-fading characteristics (Optional)

App. 6 Instantaneous high traffic area

Add more carriers by configuring the software to increase network efficiency in those areas
that need Instantaneous high traffic
Transfer temporarily resources from surrounding idle cells to areas that requests high traffics;
or bring the newly added carriers from the existing cells to specific hotspot areas to form a
micro cell.
