Dear Madam/Sir,
The undersigned has been instructed by Chairman AEC & Secretary DAE t o communicate t h e following o n
his behalf.
An email received from t h e Deputy Director, Press Information Bureau (PIB), Delhi is attached herewith for
reference please. The Government o f lndia has decided t o celebrate t h e forthcoming Independence Day as
'Independence Day Festival'.
Towards this end; a series of events have t o be organised by DAE and its Units. The theme o f the
celebrations will be t o 'Highlight the Role of Unsung Heroes of India's Freedom Struggle'. Secretary has
advised that various units o f DAE should organise some function on that day. The programme for t h e
festival could compgse patriotic songs, multimedia presentations on unsung heroes of the freedom

The details of the festival, photographs of the event could be put up on the website of respective units.
Reports with photographs on the celebration may be emailed to the undersigned for further compilation
and communication t o PIB.
The undersigned may be contacted for any queries in this regard.
