PROPOSAL

Background
South East Asia has numerous great countries that have their own advantages. Learning from our
neighborhood is a very important thing. We have to open our mind and ready to learn from other
country. The spirit that have to be built is not competition, but collaboration to make every nations in
ASEAN become developed and prosperous countries.
The acceleration to establish ASEAN Community by the year 2015 has shown much of enthusiasm of
the regional commitments in strengthening cooperations across these great nations of ours as we
move towards a more integrated community under the pressure of a ticking clock. Towards building
the ASEAN Community, Youth Center to Act for Nation want to invite to promote greater interaction
among the people of ASEAN as well as their wider participation in ASEAN activities.

Overview
ASEAN Youth Cultural Exposure 2016 is a cultural exchange programme destined Singapore,
Malaysia and Thailand organized by Youth Center to Act for Nation consist of visiting Tourism
Ministry of every visited country, cultural show, tourism company visit, cultural symposium etc.

ASEAN Youth Cultural Exposure

ASEAN Youth Cultural Exposure represent


important activities in any cultural excursion
programme that contribute to the achievement
of various essential learning outcomes and
programme objectives.

Goals
To enhance and strengthen mutual understanding, friendship and
cooperation in order to maintain, preserve, and enrich each
ASEAN youth with cultural inspiration and tourism strategy to
develop their own country.
To promote Indonesian culture and tourism especially Slemanese
to the world so more people interested to visit Indonesia.

Learning Outcomes
a. To provide participants with the opportunity to learn the cultural advantages and tourism
development strategy of visited countries;
b. To enhance students overall proficiency in English and Malay language by interacting with the
native speakers of the country;
c. To create an interest and appreciation of Malay language, literature and culture of Indonesians;
d. To provide opportunities for participants to promote the tourism of Indonesia practically; and
e. To appreciate Malay culture, language and traditions of the region.
