Infrastructure Database Technologist
The purpose of this full time permanent position is to provide technical support for the
development of an Asset Management electronic database (AM Project).
The AM Project requires data capture and sorting for the development of a new database utilizing specialized
software and equipment. This database is intended for the exclusive use of our member First Nations of
WBAFN. This position will also have frontline contact with member First Nations in an advisory capacity
regarding all facets of asset management.
Direct supervision is provided by the WBAFN Executive Director
Major Responsibilities:
examine and review existing First Nation infrastructure asset management requirements and
practices.
utilizing current technology to compile and analyze existing infrastructure data for our member
First Nations
prepare and recommend concepts for data storage related to public utilities, community
facilities, businesses, residential development, parks, agriculture and environmental protection.
assist our FN clients in accessing, interpreting, and using the compiled data.
Operate mobile data capture devices
Conduct data Gap analysiss in member First Nation communities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Individuals of First Nation ancestry are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to Waabnoong Bemjiwang
Association of First Nation member First Nation applicants.
