Morning Prayer is prayed before every weekday Mass and the Rosary is prayed after
Mass: all are welcome to join us
OUR LADY OF PEACE PARISH FEAST DAY will be celebrated on Sunday, 11th
September (coinciding with Our Lady's birthday on 8th September). There will only be one Mass
on the Sunday morning which will be at Our Lady of Peace at 11.00am, followed by a bring and
share party in the Presbytery garden. All welcome!
SERVICE OF WORD AND HOLY COMMUNION Due to holidays during August on Wednesday
mornings there will NOT be a Service of Word and Holy Communion.
CHILDREN'S LITURGY 9.45 AM MASS The Children's liturgy at the 9.45am Sunday Mass will
take a break throughout August and restart again on Sunday, 4th September. If you are
interested in helping or would like more information on the Children's liturgy then please speak to
Lisa or Fiona after Sunday Mass.
REJOICE IN MOTHERHOOD : MOTHERS PRAYERS For Mothers who wish to pray together
for their children and grandchildren - Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties! Please come and join us
as we pray for our children, Our Lady of Peace Church at 10.30am on Thursdays. All Christian

DATES FOR YOUR DIARIES
COME AND SEE Are you seeking peace and purpose in your life? Are you seeking answers
to questions such as: Does God exist? Why is there evil in the world? Who is Jesus Christ?
What hope does Jesus bring? What is the Church? What life does the Church offer us? A new
course for anyone seeking meaning to their life will be starting soon at Our Lady of Peace
Church. It will run on Thursdays from 7.30pm-9.00pm in the Presbytery. If you are curious,
unsure, or would like to know more, there will be an informal get together to explain the purpose
and content of the course on Sunday, 4th September at Our Lady of Peace Church, from
3.00pm. We promise to answer your questions as best we can and that, if you decide to take
part in this course, your participation will not be conditional on you joining the Church at its

PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL The next meeting will be on Monday, 5th September at 7.30pm
in the Sacristy.
BAPTISM PREPARATION COURSE The next Baptism Preparation course that Deacon Marek
will be running begins on Wednesday, 7th September at 6.00pm and will be held in the Sacristy
at Our Lady of Peace. If you wish for your child to be Baptised over the next few months, you will
need to attend the course. This is especially important for first time parents. If you have not
already advised that you will be attending, please contact Yvonne on 01628 605764.
INVITATION TO MISSION ANIMATION DAY All are welcome to attend on Saturday, 10th
September at St Josephs RC Parish Centre, 36 Cookham Road Maidenhead SL6 7EG. Coffee
10.30am talks by Mill Hill Missionaries and APF free lunch Mass 4.30pm (fulfilling Sunday

CONCERT ON 10TH SEPTEMBER SOUNDS OF GRACE AND HOPE You are warmly
invited to a concert in support of the work of MASS (Medical Aid and Support for Syria). This
unique concert will be given by two performers whose music is tempered by their experience of
the traumas and hopes of the peoples in the Middle East. Ayman Jarjour: Classical guitarist born
in Syria and performing Worldwide. Teresa Brown: Violinist and composer working ecumenically

CATHOLIC CERTIFICATE IN RELIGIOUS STUDIES CCRS (2016-2017) This course is
available on Saturdays at St Louis Catholic Primary School, Harris Court, Aylesbury, HP20 2XZ
We have an induction day on 17th September, 10am to 12 noon, where prospective students can
meet most of the tutors and learn more about the course. The first module starts on 24th
September. The course consists of six core modules in areas of theology and two professional
modules in possible subjects of Schools, Parish and working with young people. The cost is 50
per module. Leaflets available in the Church porches, or registration forms can be downloaded

PARISH RETREAT 8TH 9TH OCTOBER To be held at the Bridgettine Convent, Iver Heath.
The theme this year will be from Mt 9:37 The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few
and will be led by Fr Simon Penhalagan. The cost will be the same as last year at 25.00 /day
and preference will be given to those who wish to attend both days. Each day will start with tea,
coffee etc at 9.00am and Mass will be said during the weekend. To reserve your place and for
