MARTIE 2015
Tuesday, 3rd March. The day we met our guests. By 12 oclock we managed
to get used with each others and then we had to take part of two contests. We
had to choose the projects logo and motto and every country had to come up
with an idea. Fortunately we won both of them. Still cant describe the joy I felt
then. Hah.
Wednesday-Thursday, 4th-5th March. In these 2 days every one of us had
to work a lot. We also communicated a lot and we even get to the point when
we could call each others friends.

SEPTEMBRIE-2015
This month I found out that sleep, like nutrition and physical activity, is a
critical determinant of health and well-being
Adequate sleep is necessary to:

Fight off infection

Support the metabolism of sugar to prevent diabetes
Perform well in school
Work effectively and safely
Sleep timing and duration affect a number of endocrine, metabolic, and neurological functions
that are critical to the maintenance of individual health.

OCTOMBRIE-2015
There is a huge connection between your diet and your emotions
according to some expert nutritionists. Food is a powerful tool thats often
overlook in its effect on mental health.
The food directly affects the bodys metabolism, hormones and
neurotransmitters and these in turn influence our emotions.
Proteins, carbohydrtes and vitamins in food work to keep our metabolism,
hormones and neurotransmitters in check, which also balances our moods.
NOIEMBRIE-2015
This month I found out how important is to quit smoking. Within a few
days you will probably begin to notice some remarkable changes in your body.
Your sense of smell and taste may improve. You will breathe easier, and your
smoker's hack will begin to disappear, although you may notice that you will
continue to cough for a while. And you will be free from the mess, smell,
inconvenience, expense, and dependence of cigarette smoking.
DECEMBRIE-2015

I realised how important our skin is and found out how to take care of it.
Here are some things everyone should do in order to keep their skin
healthy:

Wash your face at least once or twice a day, but do not over-wash.
Use a gentle facial cleanser meant for your skin type.
Try not to touch your face too often.
Use a facial toner and moisturizer.
Choose the right foundation.

IANUARIE-2016
When cells and what lies within the get exposed to radiation, components
of DNAand critical proteins within the cell get all jazzed up (ionized), meaning
that the electrons with our atoms get kicked out, causing the DNA strands to
break and the proteins to denaturate.

FEBRUARIE-2016
We live in a quick-fix culture where we are constantly told by
advertisements that a pill or miracle cure is going to fix all our woes. Whether it
is stress, anxiety, or poor health, our current culture focuses far too much on
the elusive after-the-fact miracle "cure" instead of prevention. Yet, if we simply
focused on improving our daily habits, our health and well-being would improve
dramatically. This is where a daily wellness routine is essential.
MARTIE-2016
This month I found out that is quite easy to prevent cancer. Some things
you need to do in order to prevent it would be:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.

not smoking.
keeping a healthy bodyweight.
cutting back on alcohol.
eating a healthy, balanced diet.
keeping active.
avoiding certain infections (such as HPV)
enjoying the sun safely.

APRILIE-2016
This month, our group visited Oltchim, one of the biggest producer in the
chemical industry in Central and Eastern Europe. We managed to find out what
chemical plants it uses and what consequences they have on the environment.

MAI-2016
This month we visited Lactag, the largest milk processing factory in the
south of Romania, with a tradition of aprox. 50 years. We managed to find out
how important the milk is for our health. Also, we found out how the milk is
processed, in strict hygiene rules, with a performant equipment.

Also, this month we held a workshop in Slatina, with other younger

pupils. We talked to them about Erasmus projects and how important these
projects are for our knowledge. In the end, we talked to them about cancer and
how to prevent it.
