BHANNAVICHAYA VADHANASIRIPHONGS: STRING QUARTET NO.1:

THESIS ADVISOR: ASST. PROF. DR. WIBOON TRAKULHUN, D.A. in Music, 68 p.
The objective of this independent study, a music composition, is to be creative research
presented as a form of music composition for string quartet. The composition combined with the
musical language of the 20th century, including basic materials from the Classical and the early
Romantic periods. Furthermore, the composition also quoted some materials from other master
pieces.
String Quartet No.1 has achieved the intended objective of composer. The piece is very
unique, although each movement is distinctive arrangement. The composition quoted some raw
materials from Franz Schuberts Wanderer Fantasy and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozarts Symphony
No. 41. Moreover, the work has creatively combined techniques from the Classic, the Romantic
and the 20th century. The composition is around 12-minute in length that was performed on August
16th, 2012 at Rangsit University, Rattanakunakorn Building.
