receivedanysuchcashpaymentsdescribedbytheanticorruptionofficials.
UkrainesnationalanticorruptionbureautoldtheFinancialTimesonMonday:We
confirmthatPaulManafortisamongthosenamesonthelistofsocalledblackaccountsof
thePartyofRegions,whichthedetectivesareinvestigating.
Thestatementcontinues:Accordingtothelists,onthecostsassociatedwiththisperson
sinceNovember202007,wasallocated(sic)atotalofoverUS$12.7m.Thelastentryinthe
bookaboutP.Manafort[was]datedonOctober52012.
Thebureau,whichdeclinedtoprovidefurtherdetails,citingtheirongoinginvestigation,
added:WeemphasisethatthepresenceofP.Manafortsnameinthelistdoesnotmean
thatheactuallygotthemoney,becausethesignaturesthatappearinthecolumnof
recipientscouldbelongtootherpeople.
