Know all men by these presents that we Daniel Vanantwerp and Sylvia Maria Vanantwerp wife of said
Daniel of the Township of Troy in the county of Oakland and Territory of Michigan, for and in
consideration of certain covenants and agreements made and entered into by Elisha Glazier of Troy
aforesaid with us and of the sum of One hundred dollars lawful money of the United States, to us in
hand paid by the said Elisha Glazier, the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged by us,
do by these presents, give, grant, bargain, sell, and convey, and convey unto the said Elisha Glazier his
heirs and assigns all that certain piece parcel or Tract of Land, situate lying and being in the Township of
Troy aforesaid, in the county aforesaid bounded and described as follows viz: being the southeast
quarter of section Numbered three in Township Numbered Two North of Range Numbered Eleven
East in the Land district of Detroit (it being the same whereon James Kemp now lives) excepting
and rescuing forty acres out of and from the said quarter Section in the sale and conveyance
hereof to be taken from off the west side of said quarter section in the form of a parallelogram of
forty Rods in width from east to west. The remainder of said quarter section sold as aforesaid and
intended hereby to be conveyed to the said Elisha Glazier, containing or supposed to contain one
hundred and twenty acres of Land, be the same more or less together with all and singular the
privileges and appurtenances to the said land belonging or in any wise appertaining: To have and To
hold the above granted premises to the said Elisha Glazier his heirs and assigns (from and after they day
of the death of James Kemp and his wife Sarah Kemp.) to his and their use and behoof forever. And we
Daniel Vanantwerp and Sylvia Maria wife of said Daniel for ourselves our heirs executors and
administrators do covenant with said Elisha Glazier his heirs and assigns that we are possessed of the
aforegranted premises as conveyed to us by deed from James Kemp, bearing date the fourth day of
October AD 1827. And that we have good Right and lawful authority to sell and convey the same as
aforesaid. And further we for ourselves, our heirs executors and administrators, do covenant with the
said Elisha Glazier his heirs and assigns, that we will forever Warrant and defend the aforegranted
premises in the peaceable possession of the said Elisha Glazier his heirs or assigns, against all persons
claiming by from or under us legally. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed
our seals this 13th day of October AD 1828.

hundred and Twenty eight, before me David Paddock a Justice of the Peace in and for the County of
Oakland, aforesaid, personally appeared Thomas J. Drake known to me as one of the subscribing
witnesses of the within written Deed, and upon being duly sworn made oath that he saw the grantors to
the within deed sign seal and deliver the said deed to the grantee and as a subscribing witness he signed
