My Film
Genre:

The Film will solely fall into the sci-fi genre due mainly to the props,
costume, sound and setting.

Sub Genres:
Bio Punk- A large amount of emphasis will be placed on the aesthetics and function of
the technology featured in the film which will essentially be bio technology, weaponry,
robotics and body modifications.
Action- I intend for the film to be quite charged and thrilling, it will contain its fair
share of violence as I find this to be a good method of exciting and communicating
various emotions to viewers as violence can be shocking, disturbing, exciting scary,
sad, dramatic and even comedic depending on how it is conveyed and executed
through the various elements of film.
Futuristic- The film will be set in a technologically advanced, distant future.
Crime/ law and order- The films plot involves a vigilante and a group of futuristic
criminals.

Narrative/ Plot Outline

I feel that most short films of certain genres (especially those confined to a 5 minute
long limit) should not have a complex plot which stretches out on a long time line but
instead focus on events that take place within a few hours such events should have a
back story but one that isn't too complicated or difficult to infer.

My film, titled Poacher will be set on Elysium the man made

planet for the wealthy which is featured in the Neill Blomkamp
film of the same name and will feature a special agent
codename: PO4CH-R who is deployed to eliminate a group of
highly dangerous and well armed criminals who have stolen
personal data from a wealthy Elysium citizen.
