Farm Tools
simple farm tools refer to
simple tools used to do work
easier and faster on the farm

Bolo It is used for cutting tall grasses,


weeds, and chopping branches of trees.

Crowbar This is used for digging holes and


for digging out big stones and stumps.

Pick Mattock This is used for digging


canals, breaking hard topsoil, and for
digging out stones and tree stups.

Grub Hoe This is used for breaking hard


topsoil and pulverizing soil.

Spade Used for removing trash or soil,


digging canals or ditches and mixing soil.

Shovel Used for removing trash, digging


loose soil, moving soil from one place to
another, and for mixing soil media.

Rake Used for cleaning the ground and


levelling the topsoil.

Spading Fork Used for loosening the soil,


digging out root crops and turning over
the materials in a compost.

Light Hoe- Used for loosening, levelling


soil and digging out furrows for planting.

Hand Trowel- It is used for breaking up


earth, digging small holes, especially for
planting and weeding, mixing in fertilizer
or other additives, and transferring plants
to pots.

Hand Cultivator- Used for cultivating the


garden plot by loosening the soil and
removing weeds.

Hand Fork- Used for inter row


cultivation.

Pruning Shear- Used fot cutting


branches of planting materials and
unnecessary branches of plants.

Axe- Used for cutting bigger size


outpost.

Knife- Used for cutting planting materials


and for performing other operations in
horticulture.

Sprinklers- Used for watering


seedlings and young plants.

Water Pail Used for hauling water,


manure and fertilizers.

Sprayers- Used for


spraying

Wheel Barrow- Used for hauling trash,


manures, fertilizers, planting materials
and other.

Sickel- Is a tool with a variously curved


blade used for cutting weeds.

Farm
Impliments
These are accessories which are being pulled by
working animals or mounted to machineries
which are usually used in the preperations of
land.

Plow
a piece of farm equipment that is
used to dig into and turn over soil
especially to prepare the soil for
planting

Native Plow An equipment used


for pulverizing soil pulled by
working animals.

Dic Plow- An equipment used for


pulverizing soil pulled by tractor.

Harrow
an agricultural implement consisting
of many spikes, tines or discs dragged
across the soil.

Native Wooden Harrow- Used for tilling


and pulverizing the soil pulled by tractors.

Disc Harrow- used to till the soil where


crops are to be planted.

Rotavator- machine with rotating blades for


breaking up or tilling the soil. We have been
able to come up with an old tractor with a
bucket that moves the materials, and we
also have a rotovator with which we can mix
the materials.
