Jilinde Afya, Protect your Health, is an affordable healthcareinsurance product that provides
comprehensive preventative and curative health coverage to both individuals and families. This product
was born from the need to not only create easier access to healthcare services but also to provide access
to quality healthcare services. The Aga Khan Health Services holds itself accountable to a high standard
of care and expertise, and prides itself on the quality of services it delivers. This insurance product is
available through Jubilee Insurance Company, Tanzania.
Speaking during the launch in Dar es Salaam recently the Jubilee Insurance CEO George Allande said
Jilinde Afya can be used at any Aga Khan Health Servicesfacilitiesin Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Mbeya,
Morogoro, Iringa, and Dodoma.

5M: insured to a maximum amount of Tsh 200,000, after this amount has been exhausted,
specialty services are eligible at a10% discounted fee

20M: insured to a maximum amount of Tsh 500,000, after this amount has been exhausted,
specialty services are eligible at a10% discounted fee

50M: insured to a maximum amount of Tsh 1M, after this amount has been exhausted,
specialty services are eligible at a10% discounted fee

About services that may be not covered under that plan he also clarified that only Dental and optical
services, other than the annual check ups, are excluded from the coverage.
Allande added that Jilinde Afya is a very unique plan and providesunlimited consultations (including for
chronic care) at the outpatient family medicine level and emergency care. Additionally, also the
inpatient limit has no restrictions on the amount that can be used towards chronic care.
