Case Questions:
1. What do you think was the effect of Abeloss outburst on the other managers of the
meeting?
Mr. Abelos is known for being blunt, his sudden reaction at the meeting would reflect as
an old man who doesnt think what he is speaking to what kind of staff. He doesnt think
about the outcomes of what his saying for that moment of time. This shows his habit
being a person at high rank and may create frustration to Bote as well as other staff.
2. Was it necessary for Abelos to apologize to Bote? Why?
Yes, it was necessary for Abelos to apologize to Bote because Bote was a new staff who
was innocent. He was there for learning something rather than to answer Abeloss
questions. Abeloss position is no excuse for him to be not sorry and it was good that he
is aware that Bote was hurt and admitted his fault. This kind of reaction of the boss may
harass Bote and other staff and they may not work properly for the company and his
impression would be destroyed to as an angry psycho old man thats why he should be
sorry for it.
3. How would you respond to the kind of apology that Bote received?
I would rather be considerate because if I were in that situation and my boss didnt know
that I was only there to be oriented, not to contribute any actions. Fairly, I would really
consider and thank for his apology and try to create a situation which wont hamper both
of our relationship between a staff and boss. Then I would try to turn the topic from him
to the term of misunderstanding. And will say was just only because of the
misunderstanding and I will also try to be more updated than ever.

4. What would it be like to have Abelos working for you? To work for Abelos?
If Abelos is working for me and happens to know his odd personality, I would try to
explain his habits and his loose points to him but not in a rude way and if it wont work
then I would rather get rid of him than work with him.
To work with Abelos would be a great challenge since he is the boss and I would have to
be very patient and be much updated since Abelos is a very strict man. So to manage a
good relation and good working condition I would have to be careful and understanding.
5. How does Abelos define Botes responsibilities as an assistant product manager? How
does he define his own role as a top manager?
Abelos defines Bote as an example of sloppy staff work who doesnt care about his
company and he wouldnt give any excuse for such staff.
He defines his role as a strict boss who likes to have his staff very laborious faithful and
updated. He has also the right to say his feedback as the boss who has a staff who cant
answer his question and would not give any excuses for such kind of staffs. His only
mistake was he didnt know Bote is a new staff. Abelos is an essential type of boss in
context of the company.
