PURPOSE:
The purpose of this procedure is to establish the coding system of the documents
related with different Project.

2.

SCOPE:
This system will apply the entire document related with the Project.

3.

DEFINITION:
It is the action and effect of identifying a document by means of a series of letters and
numbers, applying the criteria established and detailed below.

4.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The respective Project Areas are responsible for coding the documents that they issue
within the scope of their specialty, in accordance with that specified in this procedure.
Consequently each Area is responsible for including the coding instructions in the
contracts and orders of its specialty that the suppliers and contractors have to follow.
The Project Manager/Head of Engineering will assure the coherence between the
different areas and appropriate correspondence with the Coding System established
and the defined work formats.

5.

DOCUMENT NUMBERING SYSTEM:

The following coding system, specific to the project, will be used in any document
related to the project.
The coding system to apply is established below according to the characteristics of
each document:
The structure of the code will have the form:
AAA BB C1C2C3 DDD EEE
Where:
AAA: It is constant for the all document. It is short form of the company (CGV). For all
document it shall be identify as CGV
BB: It identifies the group, unit or area of the plant for which the document is
applicable. The digits to apply are:

C1: It identifies the Division/Business vertical of the Company. It is explained in Table

-1-DIVISION KEY (C1)
C2C3: It identifies the issuing discipline of the document. It is explained in Table-2DISCIPLINE KEYS (C2C3)
DDD: It identifies the document types. It is explain in Table-3-Document type
(DDD)
EEE: It is the consecutive serial number of the Document type
