Visitors’ Parking Area

By Gary L. Jaehnel, Facilities Manger
Have you seen the sign? One was recently installed on the
light pole just north of the auditorium foyer identifying the visi-
tors’ parking area. We’ve added this sign to help direct visitors to
their reserved parking spaces and our front doors.
If you see people parking in this special area, make a special
effort to welcome them. You may also want to direct them to the
Welcome Center (in the foyer) where they can obtain more infor-
mation about our church and the activities currently available.

Spring All-church Clean-up

By Gary L. Jaehnel, Facilities Manager
We’d like to provide a special
thank-you to the 30+ people
that came last Saturday morning
to help with Spring Clean-Up.
Volunteers ranged in age from
eight to well, let’s just say
those who have participated in
numerous clean-ups. Yards were
raked, debris picked up, bushes
trimmed, sidewalks edged,
gutters cleaned out, supplies
transported, windows cleaned,
carpet vacuumed, and many
other projects. Some of these
tasks hadn’t been accomplished
for years. Our nine acres of
grounds and 272,000 sq. ft.
of facilities have an improved
appearance because of the hard
work put in by these individuals
and families. Their willingness
to give of their time and talents
is greatly appreciated.
Take a close look as you
leave the north parking lot.
The overgrown bushes have
all been trimmed to where we
can see out to the street. Better
yet, people can see us. The new
openness might even attract
people driving by to stop in and
check us out.
If you know someone that
helped with Spring Clean-Up,
please let them know how much
you appreciate what they did.
They deserve an extra pat on
the back.

Pursing the Vision
Just Give Me Jesus Report
By Joe Lightfoot, Pastor of Adult Ministries
Vaclav Havel, by trade a playwright, was the last President of
Czechoslovakia and the first President of the Czech Republic. A
visionary leader, his thirteen years in office saw radical change
in his nation, including implementing capitalism and democracy,
and entry into NATO and the European Union.
Havel said his success came from more than vision alone.
He concluded, “Vision is not enough; it must be combined with
venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps; we must step up the
stairs.”
Havel’s attention

Vison Of His Glory by Anne Graham Lotz—Seven Week Study
Times and locations are listed: www.FirstFederated.org
The book of Revelation was
written to help Christians who are
experiencing pressure and problems,
stress and suffering, crisis and
change, to keep their focus on Jesus
at such a time as this. Anne leads a
workshop that teaches participants
how to listen to God’s voice speak
through His Word. This workshop
prepares viewers for the remaining
six sessions involving personal
study using a workbook, followed
by small group discussion. Each
one-hour video message, which
Anne filmed at The Billy Graham

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
KZ Church
God Rocks – our new
theme for KZ Church
– brings us the story of
Nehemiah this week.
Nehemiah had a good job
as a cupbearer. However, he
felt God’s call to return to a crumbled Jerusalem and lead the
effort to rebuild. There was opposition. Nehemiah had plenty of
opportunities to say, “It’s just not worth it” and quit, but he didn’t.
He relied on God’s strength to get the job done and he called the
people to rejoice! Ask your child all about Nehemiah and what he
