Note: After completing the written exams and holding the learner license for 1 year, private companies
can administer the driving skills test on weekends, after hours, or during regular business hours.
Upon successful completion of the test, the company uploads your results to the State of Florida,
allowing us to use the test results on file. This expedites the issuance of your license when you visit
our office. Contact Aults Driver Education Center at 941-355-4202 or by email at
aults@verizon.netfor details, or visit www.flhsmv.gov/ddl/TPDLTS_providers.html for a list of other
private providers. Any problems with online verification must be directed back to the 3 rd party vendor
as our office cannot assist you.
All first-time learner licenses (permits), learner upgrades, written testing and road
skills driving tests can only be processed at the Desoto Tax Collectors Office,
Specialized Driver License Department at 819 301 Blvd. West, Bradenton.
