Certificate of Conformance

Vestil Manufacturing Corporation certifies that the design and workmanship of WP-series Work Master fork-mountable
platforms are consistent with good faith interpretations of the following authorities and standards:
1. United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration standard 1910.178, Powered industrial trucks (see
29 CFR 1910.178) [NOTE: Subparagraph 1910.178(a)(4) creates a duty of general industry employers, whose
employees use fork trucks, Modifications and additions which affect capacity and safe operation [of the fork truck]
shall not be performed by the customer or user without [fork truck] manufacturers prior written approval. Capacity,
operation, and maintenance instruction plates, tags, or decals shall be changed accordingly.];
2. ANSI/ASME standard B56.1-2009, Safety standard for low lift and high lift trucks [NOTE: Subsection 7.37.3(g)
states that work platforms shall include overhead guards when requested by the user. Accordingly, an overhead
guard is not a standard feature of Vestil work platform design.];
3. CSA B335-04 sections 4.9.9.1 and 4.9.9.2(a) & (b) [NOTE: Section 4.9.9.2(e) requires overhead protection, as
appropriate for [the] operating conditions. Purchaser(s) bear responsibility for determining whether overhead
protection is necessary.];
4. WorkSafeBC standard 13.30, Work platforms supported by fork trucks.
5. Work platform models designations that include the suffix -84B satisfy Cal-OSHA regulation, Elevating
employees with lift trucks (see 8 C.C.R. 3657);
6. Lanyard attachment points are each rated to withstand static loads of 5,000lbs (~2272kg) or less.
Vestil incorporates several safety-enhancing features into the standard Work Master platform design. Purchaser(s) of
Work Master platforms bear all responsibilities to determine compliance requirements applied where the platform will be
used. If location-specific requirements in addition to or in place of the items listed supra apply, Purchaser(s) must clearly
describe each required design and/or performance feature desired in writing.
