1. Which bank has signed agreements with the World Bank for a $625 million credit facility to support grid connected
rooftop solar programme in India.__ State Bank of India.
Note:
This will help SBI in financing grid connected rooftop solar photovoltaic projects at very competitive rates.
The eligible beneficiaries under the facility would be developers, aggregators and end-users, who wish to set up
solar PV projects, mainly on commercial, industrial and institutional rooftops.
2. The Reserve Bank of India on has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Supervisory Cooperation and
Exchange of Supervisory Information with ____National Bank of Cambodia (NBC).
3. The State Bank of India has recently launched a social media banking platform for Facebook and Twitter users __SBI
Mingle.
Note:
It will allow its customers to access various banking services via these social platforms.
The customers have to register for this service through a simple one time registration process using either their
account number or their ATM/Debit Card details.
4. The State Bank of India has tied-up with which e-commerce firm to offer pre-approved EMI facility to shop
online___Flipkart.
Note:
Under the tie-up, SBI will provide overdraft facility to its customers purchasing goods worth Rs. 5,000 and above
on Flipkart for a tenor of 6, 9, and 12 months without any processing fees.
The customer will be charged an interest for the purchase, which will be as per the banks personal loan policy.
5. How much interest subsidy for farmers has been approved by Government of India for FY17__5 %.

opportunities and also manage risks and challenges.
The committee will submit its report within 6 months.

and services.

The receiver can obtain the funds immediately from any IMT-enabled ATM.

Recently Uma Bharti has launched the Namami Gange programme for cleaning of river Ganga.
The 231 projects under Namami Gange involve modernization and redevelopment of ghats and crematoriums,
development of sewage infrastructure and treatment, afforestation, tree plantation (medicinal plants), pilot
drain project, interceptor drain project, trash skimmers and conservation of biodiversity.

18. The National Green Highways Mission (NGHM) has been launched by ____Nitin Gadkari.
Note:
Plantation drive on 1500 km of National Highways was launched at a cost of about Rs. 300 crore.

25. National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) on 7 July 2016 unveiled Indias first Centre of
Excellence focused on Internet of Things (CoE- IoT) at__ Bengaluru.
26. The high-level committee that has been constituted to review the minimum support price (MSP) and bonus for pulses __
Arvind Subramanian Committee.
Note:
The committee will consider a reasonable hike in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for pulses and bonus for the
farmers to promote pulse cultivation and frame an appropriate policy to promote cultivation of lentils in India.
The committee will submit its report within 2- weeks.
27. The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare has launched nationwide Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight
(IDCF) in New Delhi____ Jagat Prakash Nadda.
Note:
The purpose of the IDCF is to curb the risk of diarrhoea which scales up during monsoon season. The Ministry
also unveiled a package of measures to end child diarrhoea deaths on the overdrive.
As per the programme, ASHA workers shall visit all households with children below 5-years of age for prepositioning the ORS. The combination of ORS and Zinc has been found to be the most cost-effective intervention to
prevent deaths due to diarrhea.
