preventhavingtolugthosebiginstrumentstoandfromschool.Theywillonlybemarkedunpreparediftheydo
nothavetheirmusic.

*ConcertsareMANDATORY!Everyoneintheorchestraisimportantandmakesadifference.Missingeven1
studentcanaffectthegroupsperformance.IfthereisafamilyemergencyoranabsencecannotbeavoidedIwill
needaWRITTENexcuseandthestudentmaycompleteanalternateassignment(usuallyaprojectorpaper)to
replacetheirperformancegrade.

PRACTICINGISOURHOMEWORK!ASSUMEWEHAVEHOMEWORKEVERYNIGHT!Students
shouldbepracticingatleast60minutesperweek.Pleasekeepinmindthatconsistentpracticeismoreeffectivethan
occasionallongpracticesessions.Inotherwords,Idratherseeastudentpractice10minuteseverynightoreven
1520minuteseveryothernightthan1houronceperweek.IfIdontthinkstudentsarepracticingenough,Iwillbe
