What is Happy Meeting?

- Go and make disciples of all nations. This is a command for all Christians.
One of the ways to do it is through HM. The premise is that as we try to win people to Jesus Christ, we must attempt first to
become their friends, talk to them, listen to them, show them love, help them in their need. And that is one of the goal of HM.
1. Whoever believes in Jesus Christ and is born again begins to live a new life.
John 4:25-30 (NIV) = 25The woman said, I know that Messiah (called Christ) is coming. When he comes, he will explain
everything to us. 26 Then Jesus declared, I, the one speaking to youI am he. 27 Just then his disciples returned and were
surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, What do you want? or Why are you talking with her?
28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, 29 Come, see a man who told me
everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah? 30 They came out of the town and made their way toward him.
-The woman is a Samaritan and in the Bible:
(1) Jews weren't supposed to speak to Samaritans. Why? Because Samaritans are considered a mixed-up of people both
ethnically and religiously.
(2) the Samaritan woman at the well was an immoral woman, sexually immoral (has 5 husbands), ostracized from her
community, loaded down with shame and guilt. And Jesus knows it.
Q: Have you ever felt like youre a bit of an outsider? Like you didnt belong?
-That was the Samaritan woman before she met Jesus. She was transformed by Jesus and she returned to her village to
spread the Gospel.
The story of the Samaritan woman teaches us that God loves us in spite of our unclean lives.
1) Only through Jesus can we obtain and receive eternal life: Jesus answered, Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty
again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of
water welling up to eternal life (John 4:1314; cf. John 14:6). He used living water as a metaphor to eternal life.
-Salvation comes only to those who recognize their desperate need for the spiritual life they do not have. Living water can be
obtained only by those who recognize that they are spiritually thirsty.
--Salvation means that we are saved from wrath, that is, from Gods judgment of sin (Romans 5:9=Since, therefore, we
have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.)
2. What kind of life does a believer lead when he or she hasnt found the true meaning of the Gospel?
They are mired by worldly desires. lust, drunkenness, money, et al.
W/o Gospel, life is meaningless.
A Gospel sets off a spiritual revolution.
-Spiritual Revolution is calling out to those who want to make a decision of serving the Father through the Son. obedience &
a change of heart
* The Gospel is Jesus Christ When we meet Jesus, there will be spiritual revolution in our life.
* The Gospel is Jesus victory on the cross that brought an end to all the problems of life. In short, Gospel is the life of Jesus.
* It is the power of God that gives us salvation. through Jesus.
*The Gospel invites us to be the receiver of blessing from Abraham.
-Abraham, is the father of all nations. He is the descendant of Jesus. Jesus came from the family line of Abraham. In Bible,
Abraham was given a promise from God that he will make a nation, and that nation will be blessed through him. ?
3. What is evangelism?
*Helping those who are suffering from the problems of life through Gospel.
*Spreading of the Gospel
*Saving the souls of those enslaved by Satans power through the name and power of Jesus Christ
*Helping people find abundant life through Jesus Christ.
4. What does the Bible say about the importance of evangelism?
*It builds up disciples. disciples do ministries instead of Jesus; representatives of Jesus.
*We are all obligated to preach the Gospel to all.
*To proclaim is to have reward in heaven your reward is the one you evangelized, which was once a lost soul.
5. What are our responsibilities as born again Christians?
*We need to begin a movement on the life of Jesus.
-1John 5:13= I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have
eternal life.
--it gives us confidence in approaching God, especially in prayer, that if we ask according to His will, He hears us.
*We need to look for the lost sheep evangelism.
*We need to evangelize through the power of the Holy Spirit.
*We have a mission to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
*We must realize World Vision. -- Matthew 28:18-20= 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on
earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you
always, to the very end of the age.
