our usual year-round schedule after summer break!

How often are we motivated by power or prestige? It is a common

human failing. Jesus is critical of worldly honor and teaches us to
avoid exalting ourselves. He also questions the motives behind our
good deeds. Do we treat well only those who will do good to us?
Jesus asks us to offer hospitality to those who are unable to repay
us. In so doing, we reflect Gods generosity. He invites us to a
banquet of infinite value that we can never repay.

A Word from Our Ministry Team

Greetings from our newest staff member!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce

myself and express my excitement about joining
the outstanding team here at the UCC. Previous to
the UCC, I worked in the Accounting and
Financial Management Department at UT. I look
forward to meeting and connecting with you
throughout the year. Welcome back!

Business Manager
Jackie is from Alabama, but currently lives in the beautiful Hill Country
with her husband and two children. She received her B.S. in Political
Science from Middle Tennessee State and her J.D. from the Birmingham
School of Law. She is involved with her home parish with formation classes
and perpetual adoration. Jackie enjoys many different outdoor activities
with her family. When not at the UCC, you can find her hiking, biking,
and canoeing with her school aged children. She is excited to be a member
of the outstanding UCC team.

topics related to vocational discernment.

Catholic services appeal (CSA) update

As of April 29, 2016, UCC

parishioners have pledged
$7,141.18 to the CSA, which is
123% of our goal of $5,800.
Parishioners have paid $5,331.18 to the CSA, which is about 75%
