rLung Formulas Used Alone

Sems Kyi bDe sKyid (Sems bDe)


o Warmest nature of all rLung medicines
o Good for long-term sadness/depression.
o rLung + Badkan disorders, especially depression and
anxiety.
o Good for physical heart weakness.
Srog Dzin 11
o Main medicine for diseases of the Life-Sustaining Wind.
o Loss of body strength.
o Memory weakness.
o Difficulty swallowing, etc.
o Warm-natured medicine.
Srog Dzin 25
o More neutral than Srog Dzin 11.
o Life-Sustaining Wind disturbed by Tripa.
o Good medicine for seniors.
A Gar 8 Good for wind + heat in the heart.
o Heals the heart.
o Atrial septal defect. Good for making the physical heart
stronger. Improves
o When blood exits heart, the hole closes. Sometimes it
doesnt close well, due to malfunctioning Pervasive Wind.
o Two types of heart attack: one involving blood, one
involving wind. Agar 8 is good for both.
A Gar 15 Good for general rLung disorders, especially in the
Lungs.
o Lungs disturbed by rLung.

A Gar 20 Good for general rLung, especially Nerve disease.

o Doesnt necessary cure, but effective for long-term
management.
A Gar 24 (bLa Med) Supreme medicine for treating
Epilepsy. Very similar to Agar 20.
o Very good for brain.
o Heart disease
o Nerve disease
o Stroke
o Any kind of brain damage, tumor, or dysfunction.
A Gar 31 Incense formula (inhalation therapy) for loss of
consciousness.
o Good for all rLung disorders, but especially for those
who are unable to take internal medicine, and cannot do
external therapy.
o Can just burn in the persons general location.
o Good for those who are passed out due to loss of blood,
trauma, etc.
o Good for provocation disease, dealing with owners of
disease.
Gyalpo and Tsen are owners of rLung disease.
Agar 31 is good for these kinds of provocations. Like
cutting the head off of a gyalpo and throwing it in
the ocean.

Cause/effect. Removes interdependent relationship


with don responsible for disease.
A Gar 35 Neutral, so good for rLung combined with heat as
well as rLung combined with cold.
o Peacemaker for fighting humors. Very neutral and
impartial.
o Sometimes considered a little cold, but compared with
Agar 8, etc., it is much more neutral.
o If you are worried about disease spreading (like heat
disease or cancer), then you can use Agar 35 to make
everything a little dull, which slows down the tendency
for spreading.
o Sedating effect.
o Good for restoring memory, including Alzheimers and
dementia. However, not as strong for the brain as Agar
24, but more neutral.
Bi Ma La (Dza Ti 20) Very good medicine for rLung.
o Heaviest rLung medicine.
o Good for sleep and creating stability/groundedness.
o Good for any rLung disorder, especially with excess of
light, mobile qualities.
o Good for physical and mental instability.
o Second hottest rLung medicine, after Sems bDe.
Bi Ma La is still very warm, but Sems bDe is rougher,
so it causes drowsiness.
Bi Ma La is more grounding.
Bimala counteracts the lightness that is brought on by
stress.
When Vimalamitra developed the formula, there were
interesting teachings around and a lot of practices
that we can do, but people were very distracted and
there were a lot of provocation diseases. The three
poisons were very strong, so many provocations. For
this reason, he made this formula so that people

could calm down and apply proper methods.


Today, our problem is that we cant sit down. We feel
like we need to go out. We are impatient, and are
always anticipating what comes next.
Zhi Byed 6
o Very common medicine. Good for all rLung.
o Main function is pacification of Descending rLung.
o Good for constipation if you are unable to move feces.
o Good for acid reflux disease smoothes the region.
o Reduces heartburn.
o Makes rough things smooth, moves rLung downward,
which allows other winds to stay in their own territory.
o Menstrual cramping & delayed menstruation.
o Pocket money for doctors
o Only possible side effect is diarrhea (contains turmeric)
If you dont have this, then you can make turmeric
tea.
Zhi Byed 11
o Good for childbirth.
o Lots of research on this.
o Once cervix is opened, we give Zhi Byed 11 to push baby
out.
o After childbirth, we continue to give Zhi Byed 11 for one
week (approximately), in order to help clean the uterus.
o After childbirth, certain impure substances left in the
body can cause problems, so this medicine cleanses those
things.
o Pacifies rLung, which may be why it stops bleeding,
though it was not initially used for stopping bleeding.
Cold medicine, which also may be responsible for
stopping bleeding.
Good for post-partum hemorrhaging (in some
patients).
o Also pocket money for doctors.

bSam Phel Nor bu (bSam Nor)


o Nerve and brain disease.
o Good for any kind of nerve disease.
o Good for rLung because nerves are roads that rLung
(the vehicle) rides on. In order for the vehicle to take the
passenger, there must be good roads.
o Indirect action on rLung by way of the nerves and brain.
o Hair loss, tooth loss (including due to gingivitis)
o Heals nerves by way of the brain.
Se Bru Kun bDe
o Makes you happy all of the time/makes all organs
happy/makes all people happy.
o Not that hot, compared with others, but still warming.
o Good for digestive system, kidneys, and aides in
digestion.
o Indirect action on rLung by way of the digestive system.
Dwa Lis 16
o Nerve medicine.
o Removes any imbalanced liquid in the body/lymph-based
damage to the nerves.
o Good diuretic.
o Restores strength in the body.
Dwa Lis 18
o Reduces water, diuretic medicine (more diuretic than 16)
o Swelling limbs, swelling at water points.
o High blood pressure.
o Infrequent urination.
Byang Chos 37
o Medicine for nerves cleans the pathways.
o Very good medicine for stroke.
o Cleans blockages in the nerves/channels in a gentle way.
o Also good for cleansing the blood vessels. Good for all
channels.

rLung Formulas Used in Combination

brGyad lNga
o Two Types:
A Gar 8 + Khyung lNga
Treats epilepsy, both preventative and curative.
Multiple sclerosis (at onset of disease).
Especially good for children with epilepsy.
Khyung lNga is good for any infections or
inflammation.
o Natural antibiotic.
o Good for cancer so that tumor doesnt
break.
o In wounds & trauma, it prevents infection.
o In inner ulcers, it is able to heal and prevent
infection.
Good for sever ulcers in the lungs.
Always take on a full stomach, because Khyung
lNga is very cold in nature and can cause
stomach damage. Khyung also causes
drowsiness.
A Gar 8 + gSer mDog 5
Loss of appetite.
Migraines, especially when exposed to heat
(sunlight, alcohol, fire, etc.)
gSer mDog 5 is especially good for gallbladder
and Tripa.
Combination is good for rLung + Tripa.
o People who eat a lot of oily food, or those
who have had their gallbladder removes.
Also for people who have gallstones.
A Tsan A Gar 15 + Tsan Dan 18
o Good for any disease in the lungs plus blood heat.
o Tsan Dan is good for hot blood disease

High blood pressure cleanses the blood.


Two numbers (Tsan Dan is good for the lower number
in blood pressure if it is high).
Good for inflammation in upper chest.
Cools the blood
o Lung disease with ulcers and heat.
A gTso A Gar 15 (or 8, or other if unavailable) + gTso Bo 8
o Any lung disease
Excess rLung damage (long-term smoking damage,
etc.)
o gTso Bo 8 is primarily a lung medicine.
Sputum with blood, especially in middle of the night
Wheezing, etc.
More powerful for reducing rLung when mixed with
Agar.
Good for chronic lung disease.
Zhi Tig Zhi Byed 6 + Tig Ta 8
o Zhi Tig is not best medicine for rLung not directly for
rLung. Both medicines are cold, so they are more of a
Khris Pa medicine.
Indirectly benefit Descending Wind.
o Good for Descending Wind + Bile disorder.
o Lost appetite.
o Headache.
o Loose bowel movements.
o Pain in small intestine.
o Stool has strong smell.
o Mainly problems in intestine.
A Zhi A Gar 8 + Zhi Byed 6
o General rLung disorders, especially Descending Wind.
o Sometimes, anxiety and mental problems are based in
disturbed Descending Wind.
o If you move the bowels and regulate bowel function, then
you can resolve mental issues.
o Together, they are diuretic in action.

o Often used for diseases in testicles and swollen prostate.


o Good for hernia.
Reduces pushing.
bSam Khyung bSam Nor + Khyung lNga
o Any nerve disease mixed with inflammation/infection
o Arthritis when combined with infection/inflammation or
strong pain.
o Chu Ser disease.
o Any external problems combined with inflammation.
o Good for breast cancer.
o Always take on a full stomach, because Khyung lNga is
very cold in nature and can cause stomach damage.
Khyung also causes drowsiness. Do not take for too long.
