by WinRAR:

You need to download Resource hacker to do this.

[Only registered and activated users can see links.
Click Here To Register...
]
When you've downloaded resource hacker, open it(run as
administrator).
Go to the location of WinRAR.exe(C:\Program Files\WinRAR).
Drag and drop WinRAR.exe into resource hacker
Go to Dialog

Find REMINDER
Right click of REMINDER and click delete resource

Save and then exit and WinRAR will not ask to purchase it again.

For the 10 seconds it takes to do this, its worth it. Rather than closing that prompt 500 times.

I've used WinRAR for years and have never seen this prompt.
Why/when does this occur?

Do you have the latest version? It occurs for me WHENEVER I use it. Hense why I found a way to block it.

If you REALLY want to make it simple, I have the key file that will make this stop. you just pop the file into the root
directory and it stops.
