UNDERTAKING

that my admission in MBBS Five Years / BDS Four Years Program at Bahria
University Medical and Dental College Karachi is based on my standing in the
final merit list. That the information furnished in and documents attached
with the application form submitted by me are correct and I fully understand
that at any time during the course of study, if it is found that any information
is incorrect or document produced at the time of admission are false, this will
render me ineligible for admission under the false documents and my name
shall immediately be struck off from the college rolls. That in case my name
is struck off on the basis of aforementioned reasons, I shall not be entitled to
claim refund of any amount of money refundable or non-refundable paid by
me.

Furthermore, I do here by also affirm on oath and undertake that on
being enrolled as a student I shall abide by the following:
a. That I hereby agree to conform to all provisions of Bahria
University / Bahria University Medical and Dental College rules and
the rules as may here after be framed by the appropriate
authorities.
b. That I shall maintain minimum attendance of 80% in lectures,
demonstrations, tutorials, practicals and clinical sessions in each
examination and non-examination subjects separately during the
college academic sessions in order to be eligible to appear in the
Module or University Annual Examinations.
c. That I shall diligently apply myself to acquire and develop the skills
necessary for the practice and advancement of my studies in order
to qualify for the examination and will not be promoted to the next
class unless I clear all the subjects of the previous class.
d. That I shall maintain identity as a student of college by wearing
dress as specified in the prospectus and I shall participate fully and
whole-heartedly in games and co-curricular activities.
e. That I understand that hostel accommodation is provided subject to
availability and in case of non-availability of hostel accommodation I
will not ask for it. I shall pay hostel charges in advance as
prescribed by the Bahria University / College authorities and the
same are non-refundable.

f. That I will not indulge in politics and will not become a member of
any party/organization/students federation and will not participate
in holding gatherings, meetings or taking out processions. I
understand that my failure to observe this clause of undertaking
shall result in cancellation of my admission/expulsion from the
college, and that the decision of the competent authority of the
university in this regard will not be challenged by me or any one on
my behalf in any court of law. After expulsion, rustication from the
college and I shall not enter the college or hostel premises until
permitted by the college authorities.
g. That I shall follow the rules / policies of HEC, PM&DC and Bahria
University regarding admission, academic and examinations during
my study in the college.
h. That I shall never use violence, threat of violence and pressure in

any dispute with others, all means and methods shall be logical,
persuasion, petition, appeal, revision, review and other legal and
peaceful methods for settlement of differences and disputes.

That in case of any dispute with students, teachers and employees of the
college, I shall accept the judgment of the authorities constituted by the
university / college.

Further, I do hereby solemnly / affirm undertake to refrain from:

a.

Doing any thing, which may cause injury or insult to another student,
teacher, official and other staff of the institution.

b.

Using any kind of unfair means in examinations.

c.

Allowing or abetting the entry to the premises of the college of expelled

students, antisocial elements or others whose presence in the campus could
cause conflict.

d.

Bringing in the campus, consuming or encouraging consuming of alcohol or

alcoholic products, drugs and narcotics and indulging in acts of moral
turpitude.

e.

Using mobile phone, in classrooms, hospital wards, laboratories and where

not permitted by the college authorities.

f.

Using or occupying any room or part of any building of the institution without
lawful authority.

g.

Misbehaving, black mailing or with any one particularly with the opposite
gender.

h.

Damaging any college property including building, furniture, instruments,

equipment and vehicles etc in any manner.
j. Indulging in any violent or any other undesirable activities even
outside the campus of
the college, which may bring bad name of
the college.

k. Indulging in any kind unfair means, malpractice in the examinations,

and coercion by any means.
4.
That in case I am reported to be guilty/involved in any of the aforesaid
activities during my stay in the college, the authority can rusticate me from the
college temporarily or expel me permanently. I will not try to create law and order
situation, instigate the students of the college or of any other institution against the
action taken by the college and I shall pay to the college liquidated damages at the
rate decided by the college authorities per year for the remaining years of my study
in the college.

That in case there is any dispute between me on one hand and
administration of the college on the other hand regarding my involvement in
disciplinary or political matter regarding the imposition of penalty or damages, the
matter shall be referred to the Rector Bahria University through the Principal, as the
sole arbitrator and his decision in such capacity shall be final and binding on me and
shall not be challenged in any court of law.
6.
That I will abide by the decision of the Bahria University Medical and Dental
College authorities, in case I am found guilty of indiscipline defamation, disrespect
of the staff and other anti institutional or anti-social activities.
7.
I shall pay the college tuition fee and other fees or fines regularly at the time
specified by the college. If on non payment of fee my name is removed from the
college rolls, or I am detained from any examination or I am expelled from the
college, I promise to accept this decision.
8.
At no time I or my parents / guardian will approach the university / college
authorities for concession / waiver in college fee(s).
9.
(For overseas only):
I have been provisionally admitted on Overseas
Pakistani Seat / Foreign Seat with the consent of my parents / guardian and I have
to remain on this seat during my stay in the college. I commit and assure the
college authorities that I shall pay my tuition fee regularly and in time by foreign
remittance in US dollars and others payments in Pakistani rupees less admission fee
(i.e. in US dollars) and at no time I or my parents will approach the college directly
or indirectly for concession or for change in my category of admission from foreign
seat to overseas seat or from overseas seat to open merit seat and if I do so my
seat is liable to be cancelled and I shall be liable to pay the full tuition fee for the
remaining years of MBBS / BDS course.
10.
The standard of Medical Education in the country is controlled by the PM&DC.
BUM&DC is recognized by PM&DC. If due to any decision of the PM&DC any
admission in BUM&DC adversely affected, it will be at my own risk & cost.
11.
If I wish to leave the institution and do not join first year MBBS/BDS classes
on the date of commencement of then there shall be a 100% refund of all deposited
fees except for the one time admission fee. If I wish to leave the institution within
two months from date of commencement of first year MBBS/BDS classes there shall
be 50% refund of deposited fees and I wish to leave the institution after two months
of joining first year MBBS/BDS class then there shall be no refund.
12.
If due to any reason I leave the college after completion of First Professional
MBBS/BDS (Part-I MBBS Examination) or migrate after completion of First
Professional MBBS/BDS Exam (Part-I & II for MBBS) to another college, I shall pay to

BUM&DC the tuition fee for the remaining period of my study to Final year
MBBS/BDS in the college.
13.
My original documents will remain in the college for full duration of studies or
until I pass the final professional MBBS/BDS examination, however, if I pay tuition
fee for the remaining years, I may receive the original documents earlier.
14.
That the Deponent affirms that neither the Deponent nor his
Parents/Guardian/Spouse/or any person claiming any right shall be entitled for any
indemnification/compensation/damages in any manner whatsoever caused to
deponent due to any Act of God, Natural Phenomenon, fire or terrorism or any
activity beyond control of BUMDC may occur within the premises of the BUMDC and
Hostel accommodation or outside BUMDC.
15.
The deponent agreed and my Parents/Guardian that student hostel
accommodation, shall be availed purely as an accommodation facility only and that
at no stage whatsoever, the BUMDC shall be held responsible in any manner for
students Conduct and Social activities during their stay in the accommodation. The
students shall be liable to follow the Rules and Regulations of the college for hostels
students in particular, promulgated and amended by the college management
periodically, however, if and when they violate any such rule and regulation, they
shall be doing so at their own risk and shall be fully responsible for any
consequences whatsoever.
16.
I have / shall read the prospectus of the college clearly and to abide by all
rules/regulations mentioned in the prospectus.
17.

My this undertaking is also guaranteed by my parents / guardian.

Certified that I have read and understood the above instructions for
compliance in the Examination Hall / Venue and I hereby undertake to
abide by these in their true letter and spirit. I also declare on oath / affirm
that I shall not challenge any penalty imposed on me by the Competent
Authority for violating any of the above instruction.
