The Industrial Engineering Council of the Cebu Institute of Technology-University
is having its #NowPH Information Drive from August to October 2015 which is
part of the One Million Voices Campaign of the Climate Change Commission. This
campaign aims to unite Filipinos, young and old, for the 2015 Paris Climate
Conference in the call to prevent global warming from reaching two degrees
Celsius. We seek to raise public consciousness on the science of climate change
and on ways to lead a climate-resilient and climate-smart lifestyle.
IE Council is the 2014 & 2015 Most Outstanding UNESCO Club of the Philippines,
2011 National Awardee of the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations, and the CIT
Universitys Most Outstanding Student Organization for six consecutive years.
In line with this, we would like to partner with your barangay council to
implement a #NowPH Barangayan Selfie Caravan this ________________. This is a
signature campaign whereby your constituents will be asked to post for a picture
with the chosen Low Emission Development Strategies (LEDS) which include
daily practices such as, among others, switching off unused devices, growing a
tree and using an eco-friendly bag or tumbler.
Should this merit your approval, my we request to have a community immersion
for selected sitiosand we will be given barangay tanods to assist us in carrying
