WORKS REQUIREMENT
This section contains the brief idea of scope of work, supplementary
information drawings etc.
regarding the work to be executed under
instant tender, may vary as per site requirement. In case
of
any change the decision of Engineer-in-charge will be final and binding
to the contractor. The
work however shall be executed as per
BOQ and working drawings.

down in a manner which will render the work acceptable to the Engineer in
Charge and employer. All rubbish due to any reason, shall be removed daily
from the site at the cost of the contractor and all such costs are deemed to
have been included in the price quoted by the contractor.
7. MAINTENANCE IN DEFECT LIABILITY PERIOD: The Contractor shall be
obliged to remove / repair / replace/ the defects for the entire system during
defect liability period (DLP) of Thirty six (36) months after the final official
hand over date of the civil work/other installation, duly approved by the
consultants and project managers. This period shall include maintenance
replacement of parts, regular periodic visit by qualified personnel of the
Contractor and attending to emergency call at short notice.
8. WARRANTEES/GAURANTEES- The contractor shall also make available to
CSIDC all the warrantees/guarantees by the respective manufacturers for all
material and equipment installed in the project along with the user/training
manuals, test reports, contact details etc. as along with the built-up
drawings of the project upon completion of project.
9. Maintaining the work in finished condition against defects for a minimum of
specified defect liability from the date of commissioning and imparting
training to the workers/staff as asked for maintaining the work as per IS
requirement and exercising.
10. Items not covered under these specifications due to any ambiguity or
misprints, or additional works, the work shall be carried out as per
specifications or the latest N.B.C. manual up to date amendments as
applicable in the work.
11. The contractor shall be responsible for making good the
wall/slab/beam/column chases and cut-outs wherever provided on account of
plumbing, fire protection, electrical & Water supply work, cross-over and
shall hand-over the site in finished condition.

(a) The contractor shall carry out detailed topographic survey and soil investigation for all the
works.

(b) The Contractor will supply four hard copies & softcopy of the approved drawings on
complete work.
(c) The cost of preparing all such items of work shall be deemed to have been included in
the respective rates/ prices quoted by the Contractor in the Bill of Quantities.

Note: Surveying & Measuring Equipment's: Equipment's for surveying and measurement of the
work shall be procured by the Contractor for his use. The same shall also be made available
to the Engineer at site for any work connected with the Contract without any Charges.
For carrying the topographic survey for establishing the levels and site layout of all the
components, no payment shall be made to the contractor. The survey work shall be carried
out on the approval of Engineer Incharge. All the details of survey report in soft and hard
copies and profile shall be submitted to the EIC prior to start of work.
Any additional surveys, if due to change in approved allignment because of unavoidable
reasons required, shall be carried out on the approval of Engineer Incharge and shall be paid
seperately. Otherwise survey is a part for prepration of working drawing and shall not be paid
seperately.
The successful Tenderer will be expected to complete the Works within 18 Months i/c rainy
season from the date of commencement of the Works.
The Water & Electricity required to be arranged by the bidder.
Surplus excavated earth which is beyond the requirement of CSIDC shall have to be
disposed of by the contractor at his own cost beyond the CSIDC boundary or at places
identified by engineer in Charge. No payment shall be made by CSIDC for such disposal of
surplus excavated earth.
Approved GFC Drawings shall be issued after award of work.
Clear land in specified area for temporary structures, storage of plant & Machineries, labour
camp , fabrication yard, Batching plant etc. shall be provided to the Contractor on
Prevailing lease rates as decided by CSIDC with Lease Agreement as per CSIDC
format. The same will be vacated and demolished as per instruction of Engineer in Charge
after completion of project, before issue of completion certificates at the cost of contractor.

Water in excavation: All water which may accumulate in excavations from all causes is to
be bailed, pumped out or otherwise removed. Adequate pumping or other facilities shall be
employed to keep all excavations clear of water constantly. Care shall be taken to see that
the water is not discharged where it will cause damage to buildings or other property or
cause inconvenience in the legitimate use of the property. During excavation the Contractor
shall take particular care to avoid damage to drains, water mains, underground work and
services. Should any damage be done, the Engineer in-charge is to be notified immediately
and damage made good at Contractor's expense. Pipes, cables etc. met with during the
excavation are to be properly slung or otherwise supported. Cost of dewatering as required
will be included in the rates for excavation. No extra payment shall be made for this.
Removal surplus excavated material: Removal of excavated materials includes the
separation of the useful from the useless portion (what is useful and what is useless is left to
the sole discretion of the Engineer in-charge) and depositing the former in regular heaps and
removal of the latter. Surplus earth, if any and useless spoil shall be carted away from the
'site' and disposed as directed at Contractor's cost. Cost of removal of surplus excavated
material to the disposal site as per instruction of Engineer in charge will be included in the
rates for excavation. No extra payment shall be made for this.
PAYMENT TERMS
The Contractor, at the time of bidding, will be responsible to ensure the
completeness and adequacy of his Bid Price to fulfill the entire
responsibilities as described above.
