Queens for the King

August update
This was a month of transition for our family and the ministry God
has called us too. Elizabeth is back in the USA at Lee University.
She begins her dorm chaplain assignment for Cross Hall. All our
overseas volunteers have returned to their home countries to tell
the folks back home what all the Lord has done in their lives while
serving in SA. Thomas is starting to preach a little more at Hilton
Baptist and is taking a few online classes to improve his knowledge
of the Bible. Our Sweetwaters bible study young adults now teach
the bible stories on home visits and at the kids club at
Sibongumbomvu School on Thursdays. It is exciting to see how the
Lord is working through those who make themselves available to
Him.

Preaching and Teaching

God has given Thomas the opportunity
to preach more at Hilton Baptist. He
shared on 2 Cor 4 about where our hope
comes from when we feel squeezed. He
had Jacob help him with a hilarious skit
during the sermon. Pray for Thomas as
he has the opportunity to preach again
in October. Also he has begun online
seminary classes thru SE Univ in addition
to his mission work. Pray for him to
balance his work load and studies
exactly as God intends.

Shiyabazali House Visit Leaders

It is exciting to see our Sweetwaters Bible study students step up and
now teach the Bible story on house visits. They are doing a fantastic job.
They also run the game time and teach the Bible story at kids club. All 4
of my patients learned their Bible Verse from John 8:12 to earn their
new solar light donated by GLBC VBS. They were so joyful at their new
gift. Pray for our leaders and patients to grow in the Lord through
sharing Gods hope and light to each other. Also pray for each patients
health and safety.

Saying Good bye is never easy

We always know saying goodbye to volunteers is never easy so that is why we always
say See you again here in South Africa. We loved having the Tear Fund interns
these last 6 months. The girls became our family here. They impacted the African
community for Christ so powerfully through leading bible study to teens and on
Ethembenis ladies nights, teaching Bible stories on house visits in Shiyas or at
Sibongumbomvu kids club. We cant wait to see what all God is going to do in their
lives at university. We also enjoyed hosting the Ward Family for two weeks at
Ethembeni. They served with all their hearts so faithfully while here. Pray they
share exactly what God desires for them to share with their church families and
friends back home to spread Gods kingdom throughout the United Kingdom.

Mandela Marathon
Encouragers
We had a blast Sunday encouraging runners
as they past Hilton Baptist Church during the
Nelson Mandela Marathon. Our church played
Christian music to inspire every runner to
finish their race strong. Plus we also passed
out water and sugary bites to help them get
some much needed nourishment half way
through the race.
