Warm welcome for

7s heroes

Maybe this is the first time

ever that a story is really not
needed on the cover page of our
monthly newsletter - INBOX.
This is because the pictures
are itself telling us a thousands
stories.
Before the rest of Fiji and
the world could get a glimpse of
our Sevens heroes who returned
home with Gold from Rio, the
management and staff of Fijis
pioneer duty free and travel retail
outlet - Prouds were the first to
meet and greet our gladiators.
We were on cloud nine for
being the first to meet and greet
our national heroes who have
truly put Fiji on the world map
with the fantastic win in the Rio
Olympics, Prouds DFS manager
Ashwin Chand said.
It was a sea of blue all over
the airport and Ben and his boys
did a lot of shopping with us.

Sugar Cane Juice at ZigZag

Cafe reminds actor of home
Actor Ahad Ghazali who has
been in the country for a few
weeks to promote his new movie
Feeling Lucky was surprised to
learn that ZigZag Caf within the
Prouds Complex in Nadi is the
only place in the country where
you can taste the iconic sugar
cane juice.
In Pakistan, we get cane juice
in nearly every corner of the street
and I am so happy to have tasted
it here in Fiji, Ghazali said.
Prepared
with
freshly
squeezed sugar cane and sprinkled with lemon and ginger, the
cane juice at ZigZag Caf is
extremely mouthwatering and

healthy as well.
People might think of cane
juice as sugar but it is actually
a very healthy drink to enjoy,
Ghazali posted on a live Facebook video while on the roadshow tour of Prouds Downtown
Store in the bustling tourism town
of Nadi on Tuesday, August 30.

Leadership Lesson from

Fiji 7s Win in Rio Olympics
While across the world, Fijians are basking in the glory of the heroics of our National Sevens team at the Rio Olympics, we have many
leadership lessons to learn from them. I will not dwell on all the lessons due to space limitations but some major ones which all could be
inspirational at our work place and in our personal life.
The first one is that we have to have a vision, we have to have a destination that we want to reach. When we make our vision, weve got
to have one that we really believe in, one that we feel is alive. Ryans
vision was to win by 40 points in the Rio Olympics and Fiji trounced
Great Britain 43 7 in the Rugby 7s final and this result is too close
for it to be a coincidence. Our 7s team value success so much that
they dont leave it to a chance. They had a very detailed plan on how
success can be achieved. Fiji has won the Gold Medal for the first time

in history of the Olympics and it proved the old saying that its not
the best team that wins but the team that plays the best on the night.
Team Fiji have had a wider leadership group of players which has
meant that leadership has not come from one individual but from the
team itself. Remember it is team work that counts in achieving success.
A coach does not have to be a leader but every leader needs to be a
coach. If you are in a leadership role and you have ambitions to make
your team better, you need to be able to coach your team to success
like Ben Ryan did.
The Fiji 7s have provided their fans including myself many reasons to celebrate but they have also demonstrated that success can be
maintained through different personnel, both players and coaches. Its
in this success that lessons can be learnt, lessons that we managers can
use to improve our own team.
Finally Muhammed Ali, the legendary boxer who won a Gold Medal at the age of 18 once said, I hated every minute of training but I said
- dont quit, suffer now and live the rest of your life as a Champion.

At Motibhai Group, we
strongly believe in the continuous
training of our staff so that we are
well equipped to serve our customers better.
A total of 25 staff based in the
central division received training
on Effective Business Writing
to enhance their communication
skills on a day-to-day basis.
Motibhai Group marketing
manager Abraham Gomes said
the training will enable staff
members to communicate better
both formally and informally for
daily business.
The training conducted by
FNU trainer Lalita Prasad was
very enlightening and will leave a
positive impact on our staff members as far as communication
skills is concerned, Mr Gomes
added.
Meanwhile, Motibhai Group

hanced, upgraded and empowered him to be a better leader to

serve the company and community at large.
