REFLECTIONS:
As usual, the students were already getting used to reading comprehension exercise. As I was
actually preparing them for their upcoming exam, I keep on drilling them on how to find the
key answers needed. However, as things were done quite the same almost every week, there
were no more thrilled and challenge activities that I can come out with in order to make them
wanted to engage in the learning process more. This could be seen from their participation in
classroom discussion which was getting duller compared to the first few weeks that I taught
them. I personally think that I have to come out with other new games to help them to learn
English in a more fun and less stress environment. However, even with less active
participation orally from the students, they were still able to complete the task given to them.
The lesson objectives were only 80% achieved as the students were not able to achieve the
target that I have set for the matching the synonyms and identifying the points activities. As
they were a low proficiency learner, I cant expect them to achieve every of my expectation,
but still I need to help to improve their understanding of the language. Despite their
weakness, still I think that the lesson was overall gone quite well as planned.

REFLECTIONS:
As for todays lesson, I tried to do something new apart from plainly reading. So I conducted
a short listening skills activity where the students were required to listen to an audio clip and
fill in the blanks of their handouts in order for them to get a complete reading passage.
However, as this activity was quite new to them, at first it was quite difficult for them to
listen and at the same time they have to fill in the blanks. After playing the audio 3 times,
they finally managed to get the answers. This activity I think had actually helped to expose
them more on the target language used in more authentic situation. Also, drilling them to
transfer the needed details into graphic organizer was actually to help familiarize them to be
able to skim and scan the important details in easier way especially for their summary
writing. Overall, the lesson gone well and the objectives were all achieved successfully.
