11/23/15 Production Meeting Notes SPUNK

Belinda Boyd- director
5:00 PM Meeting begun by TD Gary
Started off with rehearsal "cranking right through this show"
5:01 PM ran act one last night, blocking act two tonight. In great shape
5:02 PM scenic. Bert. Things nearly built, nearly painted
Discussed safety of platforms on the set- can we stand on them? Yes, the bottom ones.
Sent out rough projection lists- projection transition sequence to and from Harlem, how much time will we need to fill?

5:06 PM props
Pulled props- discussed cups. Tin cups, how many? 20 too many- they can share
Hammer issues- props list said different kind of hammer than would be used to spike railroads
Guns- what guns fire onstage and what guns fire offstage? Both are fired in view of audience. 1926, keeping period in
mind with number of times it needs to be fired/ in how quick of succession

5:12 PM costumes
Started fittings today- going well so far
Picture of a mock up of one costume- issues with midriff showing, Be didn't like it showing that much, costuming to
add a few inches of fringe
Clarification of smaller parts as to who needs certain costumes (railroad workers)
5:17 PM dissolves into chaos. Dull roar of designers.
Who is or isn't in what scene? Costuming requested an updated scene breakdown
Hair- costume designer hesitant to instruct actors to cut hair
Do you want muscles showing for railroad scene?
5:25 PM lighting
How's. Hang going? Fine.

Be wants to schedule a paper tech and designer run

5:26 PM sound
Sound meeting needs to be scheduled. Sue needs to be on a microphone.
Microphones need to be decided as soon as possible as it affects costuming as well
Music recorded later than 26 but recording is better because of advancements in technology
