We are well into our Daily 5 Launch


and have learned how 3rd graders
choose books, Read to Self, Check for
Understanding, Stop and Jot, and
complete Writing About Reading. Well
start our first unit, Brothers and
Sisters, tomorrow!

Students have been building up their


Brainstorming sections of the Writing
Notebooks with things they love,
strong synonyms, high five sentence
reminders, and their personalized half
sheet inspirational page We will
start Personal Narratives next week.

safety skills as well before testing.

Sept. Book Orders

Please, please, please be checking BEE Books, Dojo, and emails for communication. 3rd graders dont use
assignment books, so that is how I can keep you in the loop! *Also, it lets you know when your student
may have a homework assignment so that they dont miss a grade opportunity.
A huge THANK YOU! to everyone who turned in tissues, Clorox wipes, napkins, and supplies to our
classroom. Trust me, we use them
Special shout-out to Laura Bates and Jami Stevens for helping me cut, glue, and assemble notebook
materials for our third graders! I cant thank you enough!
