Duration: 6hrs (1:30 hr per session, 4 sessions within the given month).
Description: Students will gain the exoteric and esoteric meanings of the 5 principles; our Moorish flag;
Prophet Noble Drew Ali; I.S.L.A.M. and (per my suggestion) the meaning of Moor. They will use
techniques for visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic learning. Students will use their creativity and
listing skills to create their own Fezzes and Moroccan flags, which in turn will help them retain their
meanings and origins. They will reinforce the memorization of the meaning of I.S.L.A.M through auditory
and team work methods.
Goal: To Introduce the Prophet Noble Drew Ali, teach the 5 basic Principals of Allah, the true meaning of
I.S.L.A.M. and gain knowledge of what the Fez symbolizes.
Objective: Children will learn the basic principles of Moorish Science via literary and symbolic
interpretation to provide a foundation for lifelong Moorish studies
Materials:

Pencils/Crayons
Folders
Work Sheets/Moorish Images
Craft Materials (paper tape, straws, glue, paint, paint brushes, paper, etc.)
Coloring Books

Procedure: Techniquelearning style, students see an associative illustration that looks like the letter in
the question, focus on hearing the associative words first highlighted letter, and do activities by either
coloring copies of the flag, matching the words with the letters or making paper versions of objects.
Obvious WORDS are tailored for visual, auditory, and tactile leanings.

Miscellanies: Capacity of 5-10 students. Registration fees are $15 per child, this will cover course
materials. The remaining funds will go towards temple donations. Parents are more than welcome to sit
in the back of the class throughout the sessions without interrupting the students. No snacks or food
allowed during class times. Moorish American Prayer will be said as a group at the end of each session.
