Rules and Regulations:

System of
Play

The Latest FIDE Rules in force shall apply and the Swiss
system will be followed.

Total eight rounds shall be played.

Time
Control

90 minutes each with 30 seconds increment from move

number one..

Tie break

Buchholz tie-break system will be applied. In case of tie,

prizes will not be shared.

All the participants must be registered with AICF. The

registration fee is Rs.250/- for the year 2016-2017. Those
who are already registered with AICF must show proof
thereof. Those who have not registered can get registered
by paying a fee of Rs.250/- and submitting filled in
registration form along with one passport size photo and a
copy of date of Birth certificate. E-mail id of the player
is compulsory. Registration should be done before
commencement of first round.
Registration of Participants with TNSCA is compulsory for
TN players and the registration fee is Rs.100/- for the year
2016-17. The registration fee should be sent along with
duly filled & signed in the TN players registration form
with Date of Birth certificate copy and one passport size
photograph. Those who have already paid the same must
attach the proof for that, failing which they will have to
pay the registration fee.

KDCA
Registrati

Kancheepuram District players registration is compulsory

for KDCA players. The fee for the year 2016-2017 is
Rs.50/- 0nly

Chess
Clock

Players are requested to bring their own chess clocks, if

any.

Protests

Protests if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter

shall be made in writing with protest fee of Rs.500/- within
15 minutes of the occurrence of the incident to the
appeals committee. The protest fee will be refunded if the
appeal is upheld.

An Appeals Committee comprising of five members will be

formed at the players meeting. The decision of the appeals
committee is final and binding on all players concerned.

Withdraw
als

A player may withdraw at any stage of the event, after

informing the chief arbiter in writing
The AICF/ TNSCA /KDCA /organizer Master Mind Chess
Academy / reserve the right to admit / reject any entry
without assigning any reason thereof.

Rights of
admission The AICF/ TNSCA/KDCA organizer Master Mind Chess
Academy reserve the rights of admission to the venue and
lodging place.

Out-station players will have to make their own

arrangement for accommodation.
Participation certificates will be awarded to all
participants after the prize distribution function.
