We use high tech equipment to record all the activities involved in the project or
program, with the purpose of verifying in the field each step of the execution,
keeping a daily control of what was executed and comparing it to what was originally
planned, in quality, as well as in time and cost. For greater control, the applications
developed by Gisystems guarantee the recording of the geographical location of
each phase or construction activity of the projects, including the trials and quality
controls, such as the hour and date in which specific work is reported.

Hurricane Stan (2005, with losses over US$1 billion in infrastructure), tropical storms
Agatha (2009, with losses over US$ 1 billion) and 12E (2010) and the earthquake in
San Marcos (2012) in Guatemala; Hurricane Dean in Dominica (2007, with more than
US$ 200 million in losses), the earthquakes in Haiti (2010, with losses exceeding US$
7 billion) and Chile (2010, with losses exceeding US$ 15 billion) have had devastating
effects in the infrastructure of those countries.

During the emergencies, our tools allow to

manage hundreds of projects simultaneously.

Gisystems has contributed with government and private organizations, and has
been involved partially or totally in the different stages of the attention of those
emergencies, from damage assessment, to the monitoring of the different stages
of rehabilitation and reconstruction, providing follow-up of the simultaneous
development of hundreds of civil engineering projects, giving video, photographic
and numerical information of the advance of the works.

The needs of road maintenance require an updated database of the condition of the
roads. Our inventory systems allow maintaining a record of the various damages
and conditions of the paved roads, drainage systems, slopes, ditches, retaining walls,
bridges, etc., for the dimension, estimation and planning of the maintenance works
and their subsequent follow-up through a virtual journey of the sections, without
need of mobilizing to the field.
Our processes of field recording allow the analysis of the information in the office in
