LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
I am pleased to write this recommendation letter in support of Mr. M. Hasnain Hyder. I have known him for
about two years as one of my undergraduate students at the College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
(EME), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). I taught him a course of Microprocessor &
Digital Systems. He was one of my top students, who not only secured A grade but also got the highest marks
in the subject, which is a superb achievement.
Hasnains performance as a student has always been commendable to me. Coding concepts, which form the
very basis of an engineering program, demand deep understanding on the part of the student. Hasnain proved
that he is quite keen and adept in learning and using new and abstruse concepts. The strongest point of
Hasnain's personality is his diligence and passion for research and because of this, he has always been willing to
take complex and intricate problems as a challenge. He has analytical thinking and whenever given a problem,
he tries to investigate it in a mature manner.
He did his semester project under my supervision and along with his group mates successfully designed and
developed a PID control system for ailerons of an aircraft. He studied the deviation in performance of the PID
with different techniques, reproduced it in simulation and then designed mechanical system with improved
performance.
He actively participated in class discussions by illustrating his views confidently and supporting them with
convincing reasons. He has a friendly and pleasant disposition making him easily approachable and easy to
communicate. His written work is both clear and concise. It has always been a pleasure marking his papers, in
which answers are reached logically and conceptually.
I would like to mention here that I place Hasnain at the top 1 % among all the students that I have taught. I very
strongly recommend his application and I am confident that he will prove a valuable asset to your program.
