ANSYS LS-DYNA
in Mechanical APDL
2012 ANSYS, Inc.
February 5, 2013
Release 14.5
blade.inp is fully commented, so you will probably want to review this ASCII
input file after completing the course. The analysis is an example of an
implicit-to-explicit sequential solution. It takes advantage of both the speed
of the ANSYS implicit code to apply the preload (an omega loading) along with
the robustness of the LS-DYNA explicit solver to simulate the transient, which
includes a broken fan blade impacting the other fan blades as well as the
engine duct.
