Begin with the END in Mind
The KiSWAHILI word for
PURPOSE is NIA. This week, I
would encourage you to mention
your goals for your student this
school year to help them gain a
purpose for learning. What do
you want your student to
achieve this year? We are
working on our goals for 2016-17
and I think parents/families
should have some input on that.

Field Trip to the
UniverSoul Circus
for
Thur, Sept 15th. The Cost
is $10. Monies and
Permission Slips MUST
be in by Fri, Sept 9th
NO EXCEPTIONS.
Students received a
STUDENT SURVEY this
week. Please help them
fill out the information
so that I can get to
know each child better.
CLASS SYLLABUS
every student will receive a
complete CLASS SYLLABUS for
PARENTS TO SIGN. Please read
it over with your student, SIGN
IN and RETURN it to class by
FRIDAY, SEPT 9th.

HOMEWORK THIS WEEK

HOMEWORK will be given DAILY
and should be returned the NEXT
DAY. There will be HOMEWORK
every day this week except Friday.
NEXT WEEK there will be a HWK
PKT that will be sent home on
Mondays and DUE the following
MONDAY.

A GOOD NIGHTS
SLEEP is so IMPORTANT to
School Achievement and
especially BEHAVIOR. PLEASE
help your student get to bed
EARLY.

**P.A.T.T. Meetings
We ALL need some SUPPORT!
Join us for our MONTHLY
P.A.T.T. Meetings. Every
OTHER meeting is scheduled
in the MORNING at 8:15am.
Every other meeting is in the
AFTERNOON at 4pm. Often
dinner or breakfast is served.
We have raffles, activities and
committees to sign up for.
Stay posted for upcoming
dates. YOUR STUDENT will
also receive a DRESS DOWN
TICKET when you attend.
