Annova (One way)

1. Enter data column wise e.g.

triangle square circle
4
10
1
5
11
2
7
12
3
8
13
2. Basic Stat - > One way Annova
3. Response data in separate column for each factor level -> click in below box and select your respective columns.
4. Click on options

5. Now click comparisons

6. Click on Graphs

7. Click on results

8. Click Ok

Regression Analysis
1. Graph - > Scatter plot -> with regression line -> Select dependent and independent variable.
2. Check graph if OK proceed
3. Stats -> Regression -> Regression -> Fit Regression Model

4. Click on Models

5. Click Ok then then Click on Graphs

6. Click on results

7. Click on Storage

8. Click OK and OK
9. If graphs look fine we can process to prediction

10. Stat-> Regression->Regression->Predict

11. Click Ok
12. CI gives interval for y-cap and PI gives interval for actual y

Linear Regression with treatment

1.
2.
3.
4.

Include data in worksheet

Follow steps from 1 to 8 from above section
Check graphs Residual Since equal variance is doubtful then perform test for equal variance
Divide the RESI_1 Variable in two part by filling column next to it with code 1 and 2 (half with 1 and half with
2)
5. Stats - > Annova -> Test for equal variance (C14 is the column were coding was done)

6. Click on graph

7. Click OK and OK
8. Check following parameter in sessions tab
Method
Multiple comparisons
Levene

Test
Statistic
4.08
5.40

P-Value
0.043
0.042

9. Since p value is less than alpha hence variances are unequal we need to perform treatement
10. Follow steps from 1 to 7 from above section
11. Click on options and select optimal lambda

12. Click OK and OK

13. You will get NEW Columns RESI_2 and FIT_2. Verify from the GRAPH that variance are normality distributed
over in the verses fit graph.
14. TO verify that your treated value is fine you can repeat steps 4 to 8 of this section with RESI_2 value.
15. Since everything is fine and with our treatment we can perform linear regression on it. Since while
treatment we checked the columns pertaining to result we have already performed linear regression.
16. Check the linear equation in sessions tab
17. Now we need to predict the value. Repeat steps 10, 11 and 12 of above section.
