In 2013 Oval Space expanded the community we

have created in our little corner of Tower Hamlets

by taking over an old industrial location in a disused
space, directly opposite Oval Space.Once a Pickle
Factory in Londons cockney heartland, this warehouse
then became a medical supplies storage space until
it was finally reinvented by us as a venue. Now a blank
canvas location, The Pickle Factory is a contemporary
and versatile events space in the same style as its
larger counterpart, and it is available either as a
supplement to, or completely independently from
Oval Space.
The Pickle Factory offers 255 sqm in a slightly askew
rectangular shape, with white walls throughout. Steel
beams across the ceiling facilitate rigging equipment
overhead and the frosted skylights allow natural
daylight to pour through: this is your ideal intimate
blank canvas, ready for dressing & transforming by
the imaginative minds of location managers, wedding
planners, pop-up stores or restaurant operators and anyone in need of an intimate reception space.
Operated by the same acclaimed events team
behind Oval Space, The Pickle Factory boasts a
large open plan reception hall, a dedicated kitchen
space, disabled access, two separate entrances,
toilet facilities and 3-phase power. Capacity ranges
from 80 for seated dinners to 150 for receptions.
The adjacent courtyard can be utilised to facilitate
loading-in, as an additional reception point or for
off-street parking.Long-term hire, dry hire or
collaborative projects are all being considered for
this lovely addition to East Londons venue landscape.
The Pickle Factory is licensed for the sale of alcohol
(on and off premises) until 11pm on weekdays and
midnight at weekends. Clients so far include Google,
Pop-up Cinema Video Dayz & frequent Oval Space
partners Forza Win.
