This political advertisement was aired on 2010 as a political for national elections. As analyzed, this campaign
advertisement can be considered as under the category of inferential statistics.
Key Statistical Facts:
Sampling Method: Non-random Purposive; this 40-second campaign advertisement highlights the achievements
of Joseph Ejercito-Estrada by elucidating the number of employment (jobs) created. Thus, the main actors of the
said advertisement were the Filipino laborers.
Sample Statistic: Out of 2.2 million OFW, there are at least 615,000 number of employment accomplished by Mr.
Estrada during his presidency (1998-2001). In addition, out of 41 million labor force in the country, ERAP
provided 718, 000 jobs.
Population Parameter: The population parameter is the number of laborers internationally and domestically (at 42
million individuals)
Statistical Relationships: The advertisement accentuated that the more jobs created, the more chances to
become president of the republic; hence, it is directly correlational in nature.

propaganda entails that there is a decrease in unemployment rate in the Philippines as compared with the
previous administration.

Sampling Method: Systematic Stratified Sampling
Sample Statistic: Out of 38.8 million unemployed Filipino (legal), more than 1 million got employed during
Aquino Administration; thus, diminishing the unemployment rate from 7% to 6%.

employed.
Statistical Relationship: Inverse Correlational relationship, the lower the unemployment rate, the more

Statistical Coordinating Board in 2007 informing the Filipino community about illiteracy rate in the nation.

Sampling Method: Non-random purposive sampling (children from 6 years old to 16 years old)
Sample Statistic: Out of 13 million schoolers (children), 6% of it can no longer enter in kindergarten because of
poverty.
