Community Information
Our FRG had a very successful and enjoyable Pot Luck May 8th at Scott Memorial Park in Prince George. Thanks to
all the families that brought food and attended. I've downloaded pictures to the Facebook page and hope you enjoy
seeing your family members on the page. :) Thank you to Felicia Stephens for helping me put the picnic together! :)
UPCOMING EVENTS:
The Battle Drive pool on post is now open! Also post is hosting a summer basketball camp, ITR has summer passes
such as Bush Gardens. More information as well as all MWR EVENTS can be seen by clicking this link

TONS of great Fort Lee information, community events, as well as CYS, CDC, Recreation, lodging on post, any
newcomer information, etc can all be found at MWR home page: http://www.leemwr.com/
You can also learn a lot of VERY helpful information about Fort Lee by going to the recently improved website:

JUNE: 1LT Rivers is planning an ORG day in Late June for the Rear D soldiers. He's invited families and FRG to
come as well. More information will be posted on the FB page as soon as I am updated. I am planning this to act in
conjunction with our June meeting so that families can have an event that is fun as well as a meeting for June all into
one afternoon. :)
JULY: I am planning to make at least three banners for the soldiers return. This will be our July activity. :) I'd like to
hang one at the Lee gate (main) for the soldiers to see. A second at the 6th Street Gate and the third banner at the
destination of arrival home. I think this will be a fun "crafty" event for families and will also act as our FRG July
meeting.
ANYTIME you need to contact me you can do so at my email or phone # provided many times on this newsletter.

From the Commander’s Desk
REAR-D Commander:
May has been a busy month for the 108th and
will stay busy until our redeployment. One of 1LT William Rivers
William.j.rivers@conus.army.mil
the things we have been busy doing is
preparing for our redeployment. We turned in 804-892-4163
equipment, conducted our 90-day safety stand-
down, completing DCS packets and are starting FRG Leader: Heidi Weaver
the DA31’s for block leave. The next 80 or so days will be Weaver.heidi@gmail.com
VERY busy. The line platoons will continue our 804-318-7500
Transportation and fuel missions, with maintenance
keeping it all running! HQ will be busy doing all of the Co leader:
administrative tasks to get us home and supply will be busy
SSG Stephens
with turning in all the trucks and property that the 108th has
Felicia.stephens@us.army.mil
on the property books. I am very proud of every Soldier in
804-901-3290
the 108th! We have accomplished so much in a short
amount of time, and always setting the standard in all that Key Callers:
we do! We just have to keep our focus on the mission and
we will all be home before you know it! 1st PLT: LeAndra Turney
