They walk to class, take their jackets off and hang up backpacks.
Once in the classroom, students take out their home reading books,

their tables (some need reminders).
As students get settled, remind them they should be reading their home
reading books silently and waiting for announcements and O Canada to

from home.
Students can also use this time to let you know if they need a new home
reading book, place their sticky notes in their reading journal, and write
their home reading book in their agendas.
All students must stand for O Canada, everyone must be silent during
announcements.
Students will come in, grab a book from the back shelf and read for a few

touch it all over. After, they will slide it into their sandwich bag, seal it and
give it to me to tape on the wall next to window.
After as a class, we will wash our hands. I will demonstrate how to wash
hands properly, then students can do it on their own.
