Statement of Purpose

You live only once, but if you live right, once is enough. The same truth applies to one's career decision
because the career you choose is going to live with you through out your life and the education you
perceive will be your most loyal friend and which will help you achieve your career goals. Moreover,
education is an investment that will reap rich dividends in the future and will never go a waste. So, one has
to make wise career decisions in life for which he may not have to repent in the future.

I hail from a business class family based in Bhopal. My father is a businessman and we deals in
Networking and Distribution of products on a Multi national Company. I am also engaged in our family
business. I am born and brought up in Bhopal, did my schooling from Kendriya Vidhyala No-1 School
(CBSE) till high School and Raman Higher Secondary School (State Board) for Higher Secondary school.
Ever since I was a kid, I had the passion for Swimming, dancing, music and sports. In my school days, I
participated in competitions like dancing and swimming. I did well in academics & secured first division
through out my studies. In 2004, I completed my 10th standard with Second Division and 12th with 79.8%
in 2006. Thereafter, I have joined Bhopal School of Social Sciences with discipline from Barkhtullah
University, Bhopal for my graduation and completed my bachelor’s in 2009 with specializing in Taxation
with 60% above. Graduation studies has not only given me a certain set of skills but has also helped me
understand my fields of interest and my academic strengths and weaknesses.

This is where my profession journey took off after completing higher secondary School & I joined Daehsan
Trading (India) Pvt.Ltd as a part time Job. I completed the training of 2 months as the Office Assistant
(OA). Thereafter I got a Part Time job opportunity as an Assistant Sales Manager at State Level. It was an
operations job without any sales target where in I was responsible for the entire operations, service work
and Boost up the sales.

Finance and Accounting have been my favorite subjects and area of interest. Pursuing a management
qualification, since it offered a highly rewarding & a lucrative career with myriad of opportunities coming
up in private sector post liberalization of Indian economy was an obvious choice. Indian private sector
organizations & MNC's which forayed into hitherto virgin Indian market needed a huge skilled manpower
to cater to their requirements. Highly potential Indian markets were open to domestic & foreign players. In
such vibrant times, economic reforms provided the impetus for Indian banking & financial sector which
was poised for growth, which resulted in plenty of career avenues in this emerging sector

In today's competitive world, one needs to constantly improve & re-invent oneself to stay ahead of the
competition level. That is why at this juncture of my flourishing professional career; I want to enhance my
skill set & to give a Philip to my career. With the practical experience which I have gained over a period of
last three year in corporate world, today I find myself in a better position than ever before to comprehend
different theories & their practical implication to everyday business situation. I strongly feel that the
multicultural environment will provide a tremendous opportunity to learn. The diversity provides a better
understanding as individuals from different social settings interact & learn. One learns to think
internationally rather than locally. In other words it helps you in seeing the bigger picture. It enhances ones
knowledge & broadens ones perspective.

So, I have decided to study my Finance specialization course from Teesside University because the
management courses & the quality of education of the university are renowned worldwide. I surfed on
internet and found the details about the university that it is a place where I can learn financial, marketing
and various other aspects of management. This would provide me an opportunity to get the best education
after my Graduation. By this I can get an opportunity to experience an International education system,
interact with a large number of students from different countries and can get a perfect degree in my hand.

The institute has all the potential and possibilities where I can hone my skills and talent and could shape
them best for my future. The biggest advantage for me is that I can get quality education in short span of
time to expand my future. After completing my course, I would like to come back to my home country,
India and explore for job opportunities here.
