Installation instructions for Mac OS X & Windows

Mac OS X
1. Move the UnRarX file to your Applications folder. If you already have a utility that can extract .rar
files, such as BetterZip, you can use that instead.
2. Launch UnRarX. From the drop down menu next to Extract to: choose a location where the
Zodiac library is to be installed.
3. Drag the file Zodiac.part1.rar onto the UnRarX window. This will begin extracting the files from
parts 1-3 to the chosen location, so this action only needs to be done once.
4. Once the files have been extracted, there will be a folder named Zodiac in the chosen
location.
5. If you already have a full version of Kontakt 5 or Kontakt Player 5, you can skip to step 6. If you do
not have a version of Kontakt already installed, launch the KontaktPlayer_5_521_Mac.dmg and
follow the on screen instructions to complete the installation.
6. Launch Kontakt 5, then click on the Libraries tab from the Kontakt browser on the left side of the
Kontakt interface. Just below Libraries, click on Add Library. A Locate Folder window will
appear. Navigate to the Zodiac Library folder, highlight it, then click choose. Zodiac should now
appear in Kontakts library browser.
7. Launch the NI Service Center application to register your Zodiac serial number.

Windows
1. Please go to http://www.winrar.de to download WinRar. If you already have a utility that can
extract .rar files, you can use that instead.
2. Zodiacht click on the file Zodiac.part1, then choose Extract Files... This will open an Extraction
path and options window.
3. From the Destination Path drop down menu, choose the location where the Zodiac library should
be installed. Next, Click OK. This will begin extracting the files from parts 1-3 to the chosen
location, so this action only needs to be done once.
4. Once the files have been extracted, there will be a folder named Zodiac Library in the chosen
location. This folder contains the Zodiac Library content.
5. If you already have a full version of Kontakt 5 or Kontakt Player 5, you can skip to step 6. If you do
not have a version of Kontakt already installed, launch the Kontakt Player 5 5.2.1 Setup PC.exe
and follow the on screen instructions to complete the installation.
6. Launch Kontakt 5, then click on the Libraries tab from the Kontakt browser on the left side of the
Kontakt interface. Just below Libraries, click on Add Library. A Locate Folder window will
appear. Navigate to the Zodiac Library folder, highlight it, then click choose. Zodiac should now
appear in Kontakts library browser.
7. Launch the NI Service Center application to register your Zodiac serial number.
