SRCEA Board Meeting Conference

Rm.

Dr. Jack Blendinger Yearbook Editor

Dr. Evan Mense Board Member
Dr. Tom Hisiro Board Member

We meet this year during an exciting time for SRCEA, as we continue to grow and adapt to
the many changes in our field. Our organization has many opportunities to respond to the
changes in leadership preparation and expectations occurring at the state, national, and
international levels. SRCEA is an exciting group in which to work/study/play, and we will
continue to bring inspired people to our annual meetings to ensure that our organization
remains at the cutting edge.
Our theme: The Art of Leadership: Repaint the Picture promises to provoke new thinking
and ideas as we welcome a new generation of leaders into our schools. Over the next few
days you can expect many opportunities to meet with our Board, exciting speakers, and a
variety of researchers, both new and returning, as they share their thoughts, knowledge, and
insights into how we should prepare our leaders in the future. Together we will become a
part of a new image in school leadership.
SRCEA continues to transform the way we operate to improve our ability to provide you
state of the art services for everything from attending our conference to publishing your
work. Our Board has continued to meet the challenges of our organization and to excel
despite some changes in our organization. I am excited about where we are today and where
we are headed.

Dr. Sidney Brown Board Member

Dr. Angela Farmer - Board Member

I want to thank each of you for attending our conference and bringing your expertise to our
meeting. As school leaders and preparation providers, you have the vision, the knowledge
and the experiences to help us pave the way into the future. You are our greatest asset today
and tomorrow, and we could not accomplish what we do without your support. Throughout
this conference, I ask you to continue to engage, challenge, and be active in shaping the
future of SRCEA. My personal respect and appreciation goes out to all of you.
With warmest regards,
Mary M. Chandler, PhD., MBA
