Role Purpose
Enterprise Irelands Growth Capital and Banking Relations team is responsible for ensuring that our
clients can access an appropriate sources of funding from equity to debt. As part of ensuring a
landscape of funding, Enterprise Ireland (EI) has invested in a number of seed, venture and private
equity funds.
Working closely with key internal and external stakeholders, the successful candidate will provide the
investment accounting capability to support the management and monitoring of EIs fund
investments. He/she will play an active role in ensuring that the reporting processes and systems are
efficient and effective and in line with appropriate corporate governance structures.
Key Deliverables
Monthly/quarterly reporting pack preparation.
Ongoing liaison with investment accounting function within investee funds.
Prepare, administer and review capital calls, distributions and statements.
Prepare and develop rolling fund projections in relation to capital calls and distributions.
Prepare the necessary reports and analyses required for internal audit reviews and to meet
the requirements of the Controller & Auditor General.
Provide monitoring and administrative support in relation to investment agreements with
investee funds.
Assist in the establishment of new investee funds (legal agreements and reporting systems).
Manage the divestment process of EIs legacy investment fund portfolio.
Monitor and report on investee fund compliance with investment, legal and regulatory
restrictions and requirements.
Manage and continuously improve internal monitoring and fund reporting structures to ensure
that the highest levels of oversight and governance are maintained.
Managing the ongoing collection of data used in the assessment of the economic impact of
the EI investee funds and business angel activities
Assist with the preparation of the annual Seed & Venture Capital Report published by EI.

Functional Competencies (Key Skills and Knowledge)


A minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in an investment accounting environment
(particularly venture and/or private equity) is essential.
A professional accountancy qualification is essential.
Relevant third level qualification is desirable.
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Studies towards an investment qualification would be an advantage.
Excellent client service skills and professional attitude to work.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
