Three Oaks Opera Company was

founded in 2008 as a way for young

performers to get the chance to put on fulllength operas. Since then the company has
found its way to Florence, Italy thanks to
Deidra Palmour Gorton, her husband,
William Gorton, and the immense hospitality
of St. Mark's Anglican Church. The company
holds true to its original goal of bringing
performance opportunities to young singers
and is looking to further this experience in
the coming seasons.
In August 2016 Three Oaks Opera will be
putting on a double-bill performance of Gian
Carlo Menotti's "Telephone" and Georg
Philipp Telemann's "Pimpinone". This will
hopefully serve as a teaser for the
companys major production of Le Nozze di
Figaro by W.A. Mozart in 2017.
Proceeds from this concert will go
towards the productions costs of
Telephone and Pimpinone.
The pieces selected for tonight not only
showcase some of our favorites from with
our own repertoires, but also give a taste of
what is to come.
